A late 18th century century continental reverse glass picture, still life of an urn of flowers and a dead bird, on a plinth, 13¼ x 10½in (33.7 x 26.7cm), in an ebonised and gilt frame; together with two other reverse glass pictures one of an urn of flowers the other depicting a pigeon. (3) Provenance: The Property of Dr & Mrs Emanuel.
James Arundel (British, 1875-1960), Floral still life, signed and dated `51, oil on board, 37.5 x 30cm.; 14.75 x 11.75in. * James Arundel was a lighthouse builder who took up painting later in life. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and Paris Salon. Several of his paintings are in the collections of the Bradford City Art Gallery; Wakefield Art Gallery and the Kirklees Museums & Galleries.
