*Lucy Harwood (1893-1972), oil on canvas - Still Life, Flowers and Fruit, signed verso, 61cm x 46cm, framedGenerally good orignal condition. There is a small, and what appears to be period, repair to the canvas, as seen in the images. Harwood has painted over it from the front and it is not noticeable. There is some paint shrinkage in places but the paint surface is stable. The frame is a rather unsatisfactory pine arrangement and would benifit from being replaced.
*Stuart Scott Somerville (1908-1983) oil on canvas - Still life of flowers in a blue and white vase, signed, 61.5cm x 51.5cm, in ornate gilt frameProvenance: Bonhams, 13th November 2012, Lot 107The canvas has not been re-lined, there is a small area of paint loss above and to the left of the signature, see image. With a UV light on the work there is evidence of a few small areas of overpainting but nothing significant. The frame is in good condition and the work basically ready to hang.
