§ Alan Blyth (British, fl.1921-1953) Still Life of Pink Roses, Lemons and a Loaf of Bread on a table signed upper right "A Blyth 1956" oil on canvas 51 x 61cm (20 x 24in) Other Notes: Alan Blyth (fl.1921 - 1953) was an English artist who primarily painted landscape and botanical paintings, predominantly in oils. He exhibited at the majority of London galleries including the New English Art Club, the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters and Walker's Gallery. Quite dirty. Unframed.

There is a crease in the paper to the left of the grapes. Some foxing to the background.
Herbert Davis Richter, RI, RSW, ROI (British, 1874-1955) Still life of garden flowers in a pewter bowl signed lower right "H Davis Richter" oil on canvas 60 x 49cm (23 x 19in) Lined canvas. Paint layer is in good, stable condition. A few light scratches to the surface. Frame is in good condition.
Herbert Davis Richter, RI, RSW, ROI (British, 1874-1955) Still life of red geraniums and white zinnia in a pewter bowl signed lower right "H D Richter" oil on canvas 49 x 59cm (19 x 23in) Herbert Davis Richter was born in Brighton and studied furniture design at Bath School of Art before setting himself up in business in Bath as an architect and designer 1895-1906. He later travelled to London to continue his studies, enrolling at Lambeth College and the London School of Art where he studied under Browning and J. M. Swan. In 1937 he contributed work to the Exposition Internationale de Paris, where he was awarded a Gold Medal. Richter was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1910, the Pastel Society in 1916, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1917, the Royal Institute in 1920, the Royal British Colonial Society of Artists in 1927 and the Royal Watercolour Society in 1937. Richter painted several scenes in Buckingham Palace and also the homes of many society figures of his day, in addition to scenes in his own homes in Redcliffe Square, London, and Hungerford. Three old repaired tears. Some crackling along the bottom edge. One bump upper right-hand corner.
