Sophia Wysocka, Polish 1915-2008- Still life of flowers in a jug; oil on unstretchered canvas, 25x29.5cm: together with thirteen other oils on unstretchered canvas and two further watercolours all by the same hand, to include floral still life, landscapes etc., (16) (unframed) Note: Born in Poland 1915 where she studied Fine Arts. Moved to England in the 1940`s and continued her training as an art student at the Tate Gallery and later became one of the museum` s paintings restorers. Her work has been exhibited by The Chelsea Art Society until 2005. Sophia died in a Care Home in Putney aged 93 in February 2008.
