The paint surface shows no obvious signs of damage. Examination under UV light shows no obvious evidence of restoration. The frame is structurally sound but shows wear to the surface finish and small losses to the moulded details. The glass is dirty and would benefit from cleaning.

FRENCH SCHOOL (18TH CENTURY) A STILL LIFE OF FLOWERS Oil on canvas 56 x 20cm (22 x 7¾ in.) Provenance: The Boydell Galleries Condition Report: The canvas has been relined. There is fine surface cracking and some small losses and abrasions to the corners. Under UV light there is evidence of a small repaired tear near the base of the urn.
