David Hockney Figure with still life, from The Blue Guitar (S.A.C. 208) etching and drypoint in colours, 1976-77, on wove paper, signed in pencil, numbered 10/200 (there were also 37 artist's proofs), published by Petersburg Press, New York and London, with full margins, in very good condition P. 425 x 345mm., S. 530 x 460mm.

William Scott Still Life lithograph in colours, 1973, on wove paper, signed and dated in pencil, inscribed a.p., an artist's proof aside fro the edition of 250, with full margins to the top, left and right and printed to the edge of the sheet at the bottom, scattered foxing in the margins at the sheet edges and on the reverse, a few small stains in the right margin, a crease at the extreme right sheet corner, otherwise generally in good condition L., S. 673 x 885mm.
Georg Muche, 1895-1987 composition oil on canvas 51 by 70.4cm.; 20 by 27Nin. Painted circa 1914-17. There is a Still Life on a Table painted on the verso. From 1913-14, Georg Muche studied at the private academy in Munich run by Anton Azbe where Kandinsky had also studied. In 1915, Muche came into contact with the Sturm Gallery in Berlin, renowned for its commitment to promoting Avant-Garde art in Germany. The gallery was associated with the Blaue Reiter group who formed by Kandinsky, Franz Marc and Gabriele MŸnter in opposition to what it saw as increasing conservatism of the Neue KŸnstlervereinigung. In 1917, Muche's first exhibition was at the Sturm Gallery alongside Max Ernst and Paul Klee. Provenance Private Collection, UK (for 30-40 years)
