WW2 Third Reich Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP. Golden Party Membership badge. Small version with button hole attachment. Party Number 95. Marked "Ges. Gesch". Marked "Deschler U Sohn Munchen Giesing". An important historical badge that was owned by Karl Kaufmann, Gauleiter of Hamburg who was later dubbed "the good Nazi" for surrendering Hamburg in 1945. Held the ranks of Gauleiter, Reichsstatthalter, and SS-Obergruppenführer and Reichskommissar für die deutsche Seefahrt (RKS).

Remains of stitching to where the SS/RZM contract label once sat.
