Early 20th Century Chinese Black Silk Coat, embroidered overall with cream silk flowers and birds, with flared long cuffs, nehru collar and black silk lining, Another Similar Jacket with collar, embroidered overall in cream silk with pagodas, trees and boats, long sleeves with flared lower arms, one button fastening, edges piped in cream silk, cream silk lining, (2) These and lots 2199, 2205 and 2206 were all collected by the vendors Great Aunt the late Dr Mary Cram (nee Redhead), she was a Methodist medical missionary surgeon in China in the 1930’s. Mary visited twice, firstly as a single lady and a surgeon, 'what an amazing lady just to be a surgeon at that time, never mind going out to China on her own!' You can see a photo of Mary and her team (seated on the front row). Short Jacket - overall condition ok - some small areas of discolouration, brown spots and some light rubbing to the embroidery. White silk lining intact with a couple of brown spots to it. 36" chest, 21.5" from bottom of collar to hem. Coat - couple of small marks overall, one spot looks like paint? some loose threads, overall in ok condition. Two button holes to the neck but no buttons. Black silk lining is split in one sleeve hole and repaired to the other. 35"chest, 42" from bottom of collar to hem.

An Early 20th Century Russian Silver Gilt and Champleve Enamel Rectangular Cigarette Case, Assay Master MC Moscow, stamped 84 standard, the front and back decorated with two swans amongst flowers and scrolls, and with purple oval cabochon button, 4.25ins x 2.875ins overall, gross weight 5.7ozs Scattered crazing and pitting to the enamels in general. Light rubbing to gilding particularly on the corners. Marks struck in the matted gilded section by swan's head on each side. A Late 19th Century French Brass Carriage Clock by Henri Jacot of Paris, No.8688, the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals to the eight day two train movement, striking and repeating on a gong, contained in brass and bevelled glass Corniche pattern case 5.75ins highExternally the clock presents in reasonable condition, showing no obvious sign of damage or previous repair. However the gilding is patchy and will possibly need re-gilding in the future. The white enamel dial seems to be free from any hairline cracks, likewise the Roman numerals are clear and concise. The hands appear original. None of the glass is showing any damage. The door functions correctly and the hinges are in good order. The mechanism appears to be complete (we cannot warrant the originality of all components). The clocks winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. This is a repeating clock, however the repeater button is missing, there is a hole where the button should be.

Typed letter with General J.B. Gordon's original signature, plus rarely found Pine Mountain, Cobb County, GA General Polk monument button and UCV 14th Reunion Georgia Division ribbon. Attached to the button by the top of the ribbon placed under the metal ring holding the pin back. General Polk Monument Committee announcing his willingness to attend the monument unveiling at Pine Mountain Georgia. Letter dated June 11th, 1902. General Gordon was a Democrat in the Senate representing Georgia from 1873-1880 and 1891-1897. From 1886-1890, he was Governor of Georgia. Approximate Dimensions:letter, h. 10.5", w. 8" ,button, 1.562" dia. ribbon, l. 4.5", w. 2",Condition:Letter has a few splits on folds. None affecting signature or wording. Letter was folded to fit into a small envelope thus showing folding lines. Ribbon is separating throughout, still mostly complete
