A Mixed Lot comprising: two hallmarked Silver Thimbles, a white metal example, a small Silver-handled Button Hook and a Georgian mother-of-pearl cased and Silver-bladed Folding Fruit Knife, conditions vary (5) Condition: Hallmarks rubbed on knife blade. Button hook generally good condition. Thimbles all have small holes insides/top. One thimble distorted. Royal Naval Air Service Second War Log Book and Medal Group of five, to Lieutenant Commander Charles Seymour Napier Tomlin, comprising 39-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal and 1939-45 Medal, together with companion set of miniature medals, framed and glazed, Naval Officer’s dirk bearing owner’s initials on the locket, complete with knot (button release missing), Log Book covering 14th September 1939 to 26th August 1945 and a copy photograph. Lieutenant Commander C. S. N. (Mike) Tomlin served principally with 814 Squadron and serving largely on HMS Hermes. He was involved with the search for the German Cruiser the Admiral Scheer. Among the aircraft listed as being used: Shark, Walrus, Swordfish, Goose, Widgeon, Hell Diver, Dauntless and Reliant.
A Victorian North Northumberland Volunteer Cavalry Officer’s Bicorn hat, the black plush body with black lace trim decorated with oak leaves and acorns, silver bullion terminals and roped bullion button swatch, the button being a QVC over NNVC, red and white feather plume, purple silk lining. Sweat band lacking and some wear.
Prince Ernst Augustus of Hannover, a Victorian peaked pill box forage cap of an unattached General Officer, the black serge body with narrow bullion ribbon floral centre top with bullion button finial, broad bullion ribbon head band, leather peak with broad bullion wire band, quilted red silk lining with leather sweat band and narrow leather chinstrap, contained in its japanned storage tin with japanned tin stretcher. Bearing old lot label for Sotheby’s Hannover Auction, Lot no. 4356. House of Hannover Schloss Marienberg.
Fine quality late 19th / early 20th century French carriage clock with eight day repeat movement and alarm striking on a gong, lever escapement, back plate signed - Chas, Frodsham & Co. Ltd. no. 20339 Paris, white enamel dial signed - Chas. Frodsham 115 New Bond Street no. 20339 Paris, with Roman numerals and outer minute ring and subsidiary alarm dial, in a gilt metal Gorge case no. 34380, with swing handle and repeat button underside with strike silent lever, together with a custom made, purple velvet-lined and brass bound wooden travelling case, with exterior repeat buttons and concealed swing handle, side mounted locking mechanism marked ouvert and fermé and stamped - Deposé no. 9734 and another non-related wooden case, clock 16cm overall height including handle (key present in wooden case). Charles Frodsham is recorded at 115 New Bond Street between 1896 and 1914 (4) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good. Movement is dirty and escapement is tarnished but we believe it to be in working order. Dial is also dirty but undamaged. One small mark on right hand side towards lower corner. Gilding on case is worn but otherwise is good. Custom made case is very good. Brass lock retaining bar in cover is loose. Velvet lining is marked where clock sits. Ivory plaque on cover is clean and may have had number or name removed. Non-related case is quite good condition. Lock is missing and case has some damage where lock was fitted. Blue felt lining has some moth damage

1960s gentlemen's Omega gold plated chronograph wristwatch with silvered dial, baton numerals with outer tachymeter scale, three subsidiary dials, steel back, on leather strap, case 3.4cm approximately CONDITION REPORT Good original unrestored condition. Currently working, although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of its timekeeping. Dial in good unrestored condition commensurate with age. The stopwatch function runs, the top button starts the seconds hand and resets the seconds hand, although the bottom button doesn't stop the seconds hand. Wear and scratches to the lugs

Working order, although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of its timekeeping. Dial perfect. Case also in excellent condition with only minor surface scratches commensurate with age. The cuvee cover has an inscription - 'With Love From Father and Mother Oct 9th 1932'. The back of the case is engraved with initials - F.E.B. Very clean watch. Total gross weight 96 grams. The watch chain is in very good condition. Total length 35cm. Total gross weight approximately 29.4 grams

George III silver and tortoiseshell pair cased pocket watch with white enamel dial, verge movement with Egyptian pillars signed - John Taylor, London No 3486 - case hallmarked London 1771, tortoiseshell and piqué pin work outer case CONDITION REPORT Good original condition. Dial in very good condition. No cracks. Minor scratches. Hour hand is probably original but the minutes hand may well have been replaced. Fusee chain is in good condition and the balance wheel spins when the watch is given a gentle shake. The inner watch case has a small tear between the hinge and the shaft which makes the shaft loose. Hallmarks clear. The outer case is in good original condition. One small segment of tortoiseshell is missing at the bottom edge, about 25mm x 5mm and a crescent shape. The push button is missing but works
