A 1920s leather vanity case with lined interior housing a George V hallmarked silver backed hand brush with overall engine turned decoration centred with a vacant circular cartouche, a matching shoe horn, button hook and a comb, five various silver topped clear glass jars, an ivory handled manicure set, a leather stationery wallet (four items missing), Mappin & Webb, London 1924, case 50.5 x 36 x 16cm, in canvas protective cover. CONDITION REPORT: The stripes to the inside of the case holding the lid are at fault, ripped in several places. Traces of wear.
An unusual late Victorian/Edwardian combination scent bottle/vinaigrette, the domed cover above a rounded glass body set to the front with a glass hinged cover revealing an inner vinaigrette with pierced foliate grille, the reverse with a hinged glass cover presumably for a pill box and on ring loop attachment, height 8.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The push button release for the cap is seized and somebody has clearly tried to force this open and has left scratch marks to the head of the push button. A small dent to the cover, Tarnishing to the metal, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A fine Victorian travelling vanity case by Finnegans of Manchester, the canvas slip protecting the gilt line decorated green leather main case set with hallmarked silver capped jars and fitments including six toilet jars, pair of clothes brushes, pair of hair brushes, comb, shoe horn, button hook, silver handled curling tongs, also leather notepads, a travelling manicure set, etc, the case bearing initials "R.M.", hallmarked for Charles Fox & Co Ltd, London 1897 and Chester 1897.

Berkshire Militia Officer’s Victorian silvered closed back coatee button. Crowned Garter Star with VR to centre, in surround “Berkshire Militia” by Jennens & Co, London. Complete with shank. VGC (Approx. 22mm) Originally raised by 1640 at Reading as the Berkshire Militia. Redesigned as Royal Berkshire Militia in 1760 having been reorganised on 6th June 1759. Became 3rd Bn. Royal Berkshire Regt. on 1st July 1881.
