A GROUP OF SEVEN NOVELTY WALKING STICKS Circa Early to Mid 20th Century, includes a tench art walking stick, shells marked '41/83,' a compass pommel walking cane with silver band, a crook handle fishing pole walking stick, a flashlight walking stick with button to upper shaft below handle. An example with concealed cigarette holder, and two examples with hidden ink well, fountain pen and pencil. 81cm to 95cm Condition: Condition Report Teh handle on trench art piece shows rust, the two fountain pen examples have occasional corrosion to metal sections, there is wear to the handle on the fishing pole, the hidden cigarette holder is broken and the timber pommel shows insect damage. A French Brass Paste Set Strike and Repeat Carriage Clock, retailed by Jones, London, circa 1890, carrying handle and repeat button, paste set borders, Corinthian capped columns, Arabic numeral silvered chapter ring, paste set bezel and an engine turned dial mask, twin barrel movement with a platform lever escapement and striking on a gong, outer fitted travelling case, 17.5cm high over handleProvenance: Dutton Manor, Lancashire Case brass surfaces are discoloured, glass panels with no cracks and no chips, dial slightly discoloured and slightly stained in parts, dial with small scratches, both movement spring barrels are fully wound, movement not working, movement needs a service. Outer travelling case is worn in parts.
A Mother-of-Pearl and Diamond Button, Dress Stud and Cufflink Suitecomprising of four buttons, two studs and a pair of chain linked cufflinks, each circular mother-of-pearl plaque with an old cut diamond centrally in a white millegrain setting, total estimated diamond weight 0.25 carat approximately, cased by E Whistler & Co, Diamond Merchants, 11 Strand, W.CThe pieces are in good condition. They are stamped '18CT' and 'PT' and in our opinion would test as gold and platinum. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 16.9 grams.
