A US MILITARY ISSUE WWII ERA BAYONET, by RIA (Rock Island Arsenal) 1918, together with metal US scabbard and canvas webbing frog and belt/ammo pouches, the blade is serial numbered 418250, indicating a RIA serial number batch of 1919, the handle design designates this bayonet clearly as a WWII issue and has the push button release mechanism intact, good condition overall

JAMES WILSON Collection of four ribbons and rosettes, also includes postcard of Arthur Shrubb who was an outstanding athlete trained by James Wilson. Wilson was a successful athlete and then football trainer . Wilson started training in the 1880s in athletics and then became trainer of St Bernards FC and then in 1897 he moved on to train Glasgow Rangers. ..Many newspaper cuttings are included and the two rosettes and two ribbon button holes probably are dated circa 1890 and probably relate to athletic events in Scotland when Arthur Shrubb took part in events in Scotland. Wilson coached and trained Shrubb for events in Scotland and he broke the world two mile record at Ibrox in 1904. Generally good
