A 19th century Continental crown wind open face repeating pocket watch, the enamelled set with Arabic numerals and four subsidiary dials including moon phase, diameter 55mm.Condition Report: When pushed, the repeating button works. When wound, the watch runs although we offer no guarantee of working order. The seconds hand stops and starts but does not go back to 12, the subsidiary dials do not appear to be working, minor denting, scratches and scuffs to the case.
MARILYN MONROE INTEREST; a pair of Raphael Rome c.1950's metallic silver heeled loafers, reputed to be the personal property of Marilyn Monroe, with a 5cm block heel, with half leather half steel plate to back, a silver tone hardware double 'C' and button snaffle detail to front, lined with cream soft leather, with gold tone printed logo to inside, with hand nailed leather tongue to base, and small '8' stamped to base. Provenance: The shoes are reputed to have come from Anna Strasbourg to the vendor in the 1980's, and were part of the inherited estate of the late Marilyn Monroe.A handwritten and typed note from the vendor and photographs of Anna Strasbourg outline the known provenance. The vendor was married to Elliot Kastner, and a family friend of Anna Strasbourg who was married to Lee Strasbourg, Marilyn Monroe's acting coach and main beneficiary to Marilyn's estate after her untimely death in 1962. After Lee's death in 1987, the estate, including the shoes, were inherited by Anna Strasbourg, who gifted the shoes to the current vendor. The rest of the estate remained in storage until 1999, when Christie's, New York, had a Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe auction. The shoes have been in storage in New York until this year. The letter is personally written by the vendor and comes with two photographs of Anna Strasbourg holding the 1983 'Brown Sports Yearbook', and two photographs of Elliot Kastner with Anna. Condition Report: With shoe trees, and an original poster for 'Marilyn The Musical 1983', from the Adelphi Theatre, London, directed by Elliot Kastner, featuring a drawing of Marilyn's face with a stylised signature.The shoes are in a worn condition with scratches to the leather on the inside edges of both shoes, the heels are in fair condition with signs of use and some staining. To the inside, 'Raphael Rome' is clearly visible, along with signs of wear. The base of the shoes have been worn, but all the nails are in place. There is a white simple cloth dustbag. The poster is in good condition with no staining or scuffs. Marilyn Monroe famously quoted 'Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!'

THOMAS RUSSELL & SON; a late Victorian 18ct yellow gold key wind open face pocket watch with Roman numerals to the white enamel dial, 18ct gold cuvette, with signed movement numbered 66360, diameter 52mm, approx. 126.6g.Condition Report: All parts are stamped ‘18ct’, the button on the side of the watch is tight and does not move, the dial is in good condition, as is the case, free from any engravings or inscriptions, light surface wear and a couple of small dents to the sides of the watch, we cannot guarantee working order.

MacGregor, A. & Bolick, E., A Summary Catalogue of the Anglo-Saxon Collections (Non-Ferrous Metals), Oxford, 1993, item 2.4, (saucer brooch) for the running spiral design. 6.53 grams, 30.23 mm (1 1/4 in.).Found Southern England. Acquired on the UK art market in the 1980s. From an East Anglian private collection.The item is probably the button from a shield-boss as it shows signs of a ferrous rivet to the centre.

Stamped 2642 in Thai numerals at top of blade with 'tiger mask' mark for Siam, together with original British marks, fitted with wood grip scales and spring release button; the scabbard with original throat and chape, modified in Thailand to replace the original leather main section. Siam purchased 10,000 SMLE rifles and Pattern 1907 bayonets from Britain in 1919 to equip the 'Wild Tiger Corps', royal bodyguard of Vajiravudh, King Rama VI (reigned 1910–1925). The tiger figural on the ricasso is representative of the Wild Tiger Corps. Year 2462 on the Buddhist Calendar corresponds to 1919. SMLE rifles and Pattern 1907 bayonets were taken from British stocks, refurbished by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA), and remarked with Siamese markings. The bayonets were shipped with standard steel-mounted leather scabbards. However, the leather rapidly deteriorated in the tropical climate, so the Siamese made a replacement steel scabbard body to which the original steel mounts were brazed. [No Reserve]

A Victorian silver pair cased pocket watch, the white enamel dial with roman numeral chapter ring in a silver inner and outer case, both hallmarked London 1864, maker's mark WC, key wind movement signed Rob't Wilson Nuneaton, No. 11789, diameter of dial 40mm, diameter of inner case 43m, diameter of outer case 50mm, with key, watch is running at the present time although no guarantee is given.Condition report:The outer case has a ding to the top and some discolouration in one place. The glass is actually plastic. The dial is in very good condition. All hinges work well. The outer case button is a little bit stiff. All components close well. Joe Ryalls blue and white Sheffield Wednesday match worn long-sleeved shirt, 1904-05, Cole Brothers with button-up collar, No.4 in red sewn to the front below the four button fasteners and signed in black ink at the back on the inside P. Crawshaw. The shirt is in remarkable overall condition with some age related marks to front and back, which also has two minor repairs to tears, and the Cole Brothers label is sewn into the collar with the letters and border picked out in red. The shirt was worn by Joe Ryalls and it has remained in the possession of his family to the present day. Joe made six first team appearances for the Club before moving on to Rotherham Town, Brentford where he had two spells and also Forest before retiring from the game to become a publican before passing away in 1952. He is interred at Abbey Lane Cemetery in Sheffield. Provenance: The Ryalls family.
