Restorations, defects and small missing parts. Rare. It deserves a proper restoration. length 110 cm.

dating: 18th Century provenance: Bergamo, Smoothbore, round barrel, with squared base decorated with rings and engraved with a trophy and brass-inlaid floral motifs, provided with short rib; strongly bell-mouthed nozzle decorated with rings. Tang engraved on a golden background. Flintlock carved with floral motifs in bas-relief. Wooden folding stock which can be opened using a button on the back near a mother-of-pearl shield; the back fully decorated with filigree lilies and floral motifs. Steel mounts majestically carved in low and high relief, counter-plate pierced with the face of a king and a warrior among racemes and dragons; the trigger guard with a trophy depicting mask at the center. The butt-plate decorated with two trophies, one at the back and one at the rear side, provided with an oval medal at the center engraved with an eagle with open wings (it could be the coat of arms of the Martinengo family, a noble family from the namesake town in the province of Bergamo, Italy). Iron ramrod. length 88.5 cm.
dating: about 1690 provenance: Sezze, Smoothbore barrel, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrel, octagonal at the first part with a base decorated with a raised frame and engraved floral motifs, then sixteen-faceted (partially with pitting) at the second part and with a muzzle ring equipped with a foresight. Large tang with sight. Rounded plate lock with brass pin provided with a lever on the left side which, with a single rotation (about 250 degrees), cocks the hammer, triggers the bascinet, lowers the batterie and introduces the ball and the powder into the powder chamber. The large tang with broad rear sight, engraved with floral motifs like the butt-plate and the other mounts of the lock, the mount above the pin (and under the cup) signed 'DIAMANTE A SEZZE'; the lever with safety lock; powder gate and ball opening. Briarwood stock and fore-end (with old stock restorations), beautiful iron mounts engraved with floral motifs, partially carved and pierced, some inlaid. The butt plate can be opened with a button, carved and pierced iron barrel bracket. One of the rare signed shotgun of the Berselli / Lorenzoni system with an even rarer signature. The system is often called the Lorenzoni system but it is more likely that the Berselli dynasty invented this revolutionary system. A fine model of an Italian repeating gun, provided with a socalled 'all back' system. PARKER GUNMAKER LONDON', then round after rings and provided with foresight; elegant lock signed 'PARKER', finely engraved with a snake and with a lowered edge engraved with sun and geometric motifs, the cock decorated with floral motifs; pan with magazine provided with lid and sealing batterie, placed on the steel pin and held by a brass mount on the barrel side provided with an opening for bullets and powder decorated with the figure of the wind and floral motifs, finely held by the tang engraved with sun rays and floral motifs at the rear, provided with a small lid engraved and numbered '2' for the mount of bullets which can be opened by a tiny side button; the lower part of the pin is held by an iron mount containig the trigger and the ring-guard which is engraved with a hound with birds. Loading lever on the left side, which cocks the hammer with a single rotation (of about 250 degrees), triggers the bascinet, lowers the batterie and introduces the ball and the powder into the powder chamber, the pin cover on this side is finely engraved with floral motifs. Indian walnut wooden stock (small restoration dating back to the time of use), checkered on the back, small lateral iron gate engraved and covered with a brass frame to load the powder, iron butt-plate engraved with hound and floral motifs. Below siver medallion with monogram 'ANG' and number '2'. Half stock made of fine briarwood (some antique restoration), the grip majestically carved with floral motifs in high relief, on the left side around the side a bird in the last part.
