Imperial Russian Tunic Buttons Picked up During the Crimean War, interesting group of 9 brass tunic buttons for the Imperial Russian 33rd regiment, accompanied by a small hand written note detailing the history of the buttons (now not clear). Alco with a small Imperial Russian button from this period for 26th regiment mounted onto a small wooden shield. Ex Jerry Withers collection.
WW1 British Other Ranks Trench Cap, an interesting large size khaki wool trench cap with evidence of a Gloucestershire regiment back badge was once present. Single general service side button, no chinstrap or second side button. Interior with black oilskin liner. Some wear and flaking to the interior. Very good example overall.
Kings Bodyguard of Scotland Royal Company of Archers Full Uniform, Headdress and Sword Grouping Contained in the Original Metal Storage Trunk Belonging to A A Lawrie, the grouping consists of the long pattern green cloth tunic with gauntlet cuffs and shoulder wings. Trimmed with black braid and crimson velvet, four bars of black braid across the chest, showing a light crimson velvet. Black braid and crimson velvet also to the collar. Crimson silk shoulder cords with gilt metal button. Fine quality sash with large badge in fine gilt metal to the centre and a lower sash badge in gilt and enamel retaining nearly all the original fire gilt finish. Royal Company of Archers cape in green cloth with collar. Bands to the inside to fasten the cape down. Cape lined at the shoulders with green Italian cloth. Gilt metal special pattern cape chains and large gilt metal buttons. Full dress bonnet in green cloth with black braid trim. Crimson tuft to the top. White and green silk cockades with fine gilt metal bonnet badge which retain nearly all of the original fire gilt wash finish. Complete with the original feathers. Black leather belt with sword frog and gilt metal Royal crest plate, the circlet inscribed “Kings Bodyguard for Scotland”. Parade pattern short sword made retailed by J Stewart & Son Edinburgh, ornate gilt metal hilt, acid etched blade with GRV cipher. Much of the original polish remains to the blade. Housed in the original leather and brass mounted scabbard. All housed in the original metal transit trunk with brass name plate engraved “A A Lawrie”. A truly fantastic condition set which shows very minimal wear. Ex Bennett collection. Please note we are not able to offer in house post and packing on this item due to weight and size.
Scarce Early Kriegsmarine Imperial German Navy Conversion Officers Dress Dagger, fine untouched example of a very early WW2 German naval officers dress dagger which has been a conversion from the original owners Imperial naval dagger. The dagger with eagle top on a ivory grip with wire binding and Kriegsmarine type bullion dress knot. Early Imperial style cross guard with press stud release button. Fine deluxe hammered scabbard with roped hanging rings fittings. Plain un-marked blade with two central fullers. Some light surface staining to the blade but generally a good example. Blade 24 ½ cms, overall 42cms. The early Kriegsmarine officers were often veterans of the Imperial navy, many of these officers converted their Imperial dirks to that of the Kriegsmarine by removing the Imperial crown and replacing with the eagle and swastika. These early conversions are not easy to find.
Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Dagger with Hanging Straps by Carl Eickhorn Solingen, standard model German naval officers dress dagger with eagle and swastika pommel top, white celluloid grip with wire binding and standard model cross guard with press button release to the reverse. Housed in brass scabbard with decoration and two hanging rings. Attached to the scabbard is a set of late war gilded aluminium and cloth hanging straps, one clip damaged. Blade with double central fullers and etched with foliage and fouled anchor. Carl Eickhorn Solingen makers trade mark to the base. Dagger shows some wear but still a generally good example. The blade measures 26cms, overall 41 ½ cms.
Third Reich 40 Year Faithful Service Decoration and Citation Group, being a fine cased example of the 40 year faithful service decoration made by Deschler & Sohn. Housed in the box is the original button hole medal ribbon with device to the centre. Accompanying the award is the original award citation, awarding the medal to Obertelegrapheninspektor Friedrich During from Lubeck. Citation dated 1st September 1939. Accompanied by two other documents.
Third Reich Allgemeine-SS Officers Collar Patch and Shoulder Strap, fine example of a early bullion embroidered Totenkopf skull above “10”. Silver twist wire piping to the edge of the collar patch. Original backing to the reverse of the collar patch. Accompanied by a single shoulder strap of silver wire on black cloth. Button hole fixing to the reverse of the board. (2 items)
Third Reich SA (Sturmabteilung) Gau Westfalen Kepi, light tan coloured kepi with crimson felt top section, single silvered pebbled button and kepi style chinstrap. Interior with thin brown leather sweatband. Silver tooled retailers details to the crown of the cap and large RZM label to the interior. Shows some wear but generally a good example.
Waffen-SS M-38 Pattern Forage Cap, well worn example of the field grey cloth forage / side cap with embroidered SS insignia to the side, single Totenkopf skull button to the front and copper brown soutache for the Reconnaissance section of the Waffen-SS (later period for KZ guards). Interior of the cap with tailors ink stamp, size and 1941 date. Cap shows service wear and some scattered areas of moth damage.

(Dimier Freres & Cie) white metal lever pocket watch, signed movement with engraved balance cock, compensated balance and regulator, within a signed plain case, 54mm; together with a cylinder engine turned pocket watch, three quarter plate movement with gilt three arm balance and regulator, the dial with applied Roman numeral chapter and subsidiary seconds, 54mm (2)-Both are running although the cylinder pocket watch appears over wound and requires attention, cylinder pocket watch also lacking minute and subsidiary hands and lacking glass, D.F&C pocket watch is lacking button to the stem.
A sterling silver minaudiere by Webster Company, of rectangular form with engine turned decoration to cover, push button release opening to reveal a sovereign and half sovereign holder, a covered compartment and a money clip, set upon a belcher link chain, 9cm x 6.5cm, weight 2.88oztCR; Please see the additional images of the hallmarks.There is moderate denting to the case exterior, moderate scratching and general wear. There is heavy denting around the half sovereign holder, and moderate denting/wear to the full sovereign holder. The covering to the internal compartment is very loose in its fitting and shows moderate damage - the cover gets stuck, and can be difficult to open. No splitting or signs of repair to the exterior or interior. Some of the links on the chain show heavy denting/misshaping and thinning, but there are no signs of repair. Minaudiere opens smoothly and closes with a snap, but does leave a slight gap around the lip when closed.
