A PAIR OF MID 20TH CENTURY GUY ROGERS FOR HEALS SANTA FE BUTTON BACK TAN LEATHER ARMCHAIRS with shaped teak frames 89cm high x 100cm wide x 86cm deep Condition Report: The leather upholstery is generally faded, resulting in some degree of colour variation over the chairs. There is some cracking - worst over the armrests - but nowhere is this so severe as to leave tears in the leather and the sewn seams are all sound. Functionally^ these chairs are absolutely fit for use; the question of whether to reupholster in this instance is really dependent on one's personal aesthetic preference. The leather to the rear of the chairs is unsurprisingly in the best condition and gives an indication of how significantly other areas have faded. As to the condition otherwise, the teak frames are showing signs of wear consistent with the upholstery. There are little nicks and scuffs to the finish here and there and some colour variation as a result of sun bleaching. Structurally, both chairs are very solid, with no loose or wobbly elements^ apparently complete and perfectly fit for regular use.
