Binden, Panama, with floral engraved case and Roman dial with subsidiary seconds, the movement inscribed "Ls. Fric. Lebet, Neuchatel, with two engraved medallions "Paris, 1867".See Footnotes.Inner cuvette inscribed with retailer and Remontoire Invisible et mise A l'heure Automatique, Brevet. The nickel barred movement jewelled to the centre with gold train and escape whell endstone cap, the plates also medallion engraved showing the medals won by the firm as well as Brevet. Straight line detached lever escapement, the steel escape with polished and bevelled tips. Compensation balance, blued-steel balance-spring with overcoil. White enamel dial with high gloss finish, blued-steel 'Breguet' hands. 54mm.Louis Frederick Lebwt, Neuchatel, awarded two medals at the Paris Exhibition of 1867, the same year that Herbert Ramuz of Chaux-de-Fonds was granted English Patenet No 2388 for a system of automatic winding utilising the opening and closing of a hunter cased watch. Hand setting is achieved by a winding button hidden in the band of the case. This is revealed when the small slide is moved.
