A scarce 1856/58 yatagan bayonet for the 1853 pattern Enfield rifle. Its lack of issue markings would suggest it was destined for export to the United States, where it was used by soldiers on both sides during the American Civl War. Textured leather grips, with steel backpiece and pommel, the latter with integral push button rifle attachment clip. Steel cross guard with muzzle ring and quillons. Yatagan style single edged blade with single fuller and flat spine. The blade becomes double edged for around the last 9cm. Approximately 70cm length, blade length 57.5cm. Condition: generally solid condition. Service wear commensurate with age and use. The spring mechanism to the pommel is at fault, and it isn’t tight. Overall darkened colour to the steel with some pitting in places. Some nicks to the cutting edge of the blade.
Scarce WW1 German Mauser ersatz bayonet. All steel construction, with push button release catch on the pommel. Single edged steel blade with fuller to both sides. The cross guard has the distinctive open muzzle ring, which allowed to be used on captured French Lebel or Russian Mosin-Nagant rifles. Complete with steel scabbard and leather frog, the latter dated 1931. The bayonet appears to be undated, but there is a faint inspection stamp to the spine of the blade. Approximately 47cm length including scabbard and frog. Condition: generally good. Patination to the metal throughout, commensurate with age and service wear. Some very light surface corrosion to the scabbard in places. Leather frog is good condition.
A selection of 19th century French Chassepot bayonets. 4 examples, including pieces dated 1871, 1867, 1872, and 1870. Each with the usual ribbed brass grip, and pommel with spring loaded rifle clip. Steel cross guard with curled quillon, and a curved single edged yatagan blade with single fuller. Each bayonet is complete with its correct metal scabbard, but these appear to have mismatched issue numbers. Each piece is approximately 71.5cm. Condition: generally solid, but varies across pieces. Each bayonet blade is good, with a couple having some darkening to the steel, and some mottling to the metal. The push button rifle attachment clips are stiff with age, and one has seized. The brass handles are generally good, with normal service wear and small knocks. A couple of the examples have pitting to the cross guards, with the steel having a dark patina. The scabbards are complete, but have some dents in places. One of the bayonets doesn’t quite fit into the scabbard all the way.

Working cock and trigger action. Suspension ring to the butt of each. Possibly designed as a novelty watch fob. 2 items. Approximately 4cm in length. Condition: some wear to the nickel plating on one of the guns, plus a little surface corrosion. The mechanisms on both pistols would appear to be in working condition.

A 19th century, post 1850 Police Constabulary or Prison Wardens sword, with associated scabbard. Standard pattern of the era, with brass pommel, D shaped knuckle guard, cross guard and quillon. Steel single edged curved blade, with button release catch at the ricasso. Patent leather scabbard with brass mount at throat and chape. Frog stud attached to the throat area. Approximately 74.5cm length in scabbard. Condition: some service wear. The ridged wooden grip is missing its shagreen covering, and there is some tiny remnants left in places. The wooden grip also has a chip to the edge near the pommel area. The chape on the scabbard seems to be missing its end cap, and has been crimped to close it. The release catch is missing its brass button, but the blade is still able to be drawn. The blade shows age related mottling to the surface, and a couple of nicks to the cutting edge. There is some wear to the patent leather finish on the scabbard, but is otherwise good.
