Length 129 cm.An unusual, early tschinke, which is doubtless one of the earliest known specimens of this rare type of Silesian rifle.Condition: IICondition Report:The metal surfaces of the barrel and lock lightly pitted in places. The stock inlays original apart from minor replacements, a small repair to the left edge, below the lock plate.

Kolbenkappe mit Darstellung eines hockenden Ebers. Kolbenfach mit federverriegeltem Deckel. Eine Einlage mit Maskaron auf der Schaftunterseite ergänzt. Dovetail sights of iron and brass, the date “1596” struck at the top of the barrel. The barrel fullered over the breech, struck twice on the side with a bird mark and the monogram “BD”. Lock with dome-shaped wheel cover and safety lever. Spring-loaded pan cover with release button. Adjustable trigger with set screw. Full stock of finely nubbed ebonised walnut wood with inlays of engraved and blackened bone. Portrayal of grotesque heads between scroll cartouches. Butt cap with portrayal of a sitting boar. Patchbox with spring-loaded cover. One inlay with mascaron replaced on the underside of the stock. Wooden ramrod with bone tip and later (?) brass screw cap.
