An opera length silver cigarette holder, by Frederick Field Ltd, assayed Birmingham 1937, of typical elongated rectangular form, having all over engine turned decoration with push button sprung lid and gilt interior, length 17cm, (129.4g),together with a Victorian silver vesta, by Henry Pope, assayed Birmingham 1898 , of rectangular form, with all over bright cut foliate decoration and circular cartouche (left blank), (19.9g), an Indian white metal filigree work small lidded box and similar cigarette case, (white metal assessed as silver, both as found), (100.5g), and two silver plated combined vesta/stamp boxes. each fashioned as a book with hinged boards. A scarce 18ct. gold gentleman's Eberhard & Co. single button telemetre chronograph wrist watch, c.1930's, manual movement, having white enamel Arabic dial with outer seconds track and red telemetre scale for recording distance, with two subsidiary dials registering minutes and seconds, movement impressed "Eberhard & Co", case approx. 38mm wide, the interior impressed "18k", Swiss hammer with handle enclosing 130 makers mark and Eberhard logo, in working order, to later black leather strap.
A violin bearing internal label for 'Antonius Stadivarius', possibly Mittenwald German c1890, split piece 35.5cm back (not including the button) with ebonised chin rest and finger board, mother of pearl inlaid tailpiece, overall length 60cm, the label reads 'Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis faciebat anno 17(77?)', below the button at the back is an impressed mark of AS within a circle with an arrow above, label to interior, with case (see images) CONDITION REPORT: The front of the violin is cracked to the left hand side running up to the aperture from the chin rest, there is a smaller split to the right hand side. The violin is worn and grubby throughout. There is a smaller split to the side close to the chin rest. There is a gap for the side panels where they meet the arm at the top. Some attention may be needed.
A pair of pearl and diamond earrings, with white metal continental post and clip fastening pearls are slightly 'button' in shape but are not mabe pearls, diameter 10.9mm, surrounded with a halo of eight cut diamonds and a single brilliant to an estimated approx diamond total of 0.23cts, approx diameter 1.4cm, length 1.8cm, weight 7.3gms Condition Report: Surface flaw dimple to one, diamonds bright and sparkly.
