GWR wood cased 1947 Thompson Permissive Block Instrument with single dial and lower knob having a back plate for the 3 positions, beneath which is a push button. Together with GWR 1947 Thompson Double Line Block Instrument. Complete with flaps either side of the central knob. Good condition except the back wood has split. Finally with a British Railways plastic `tower` Double Line Block Instrument. Good condition.
SECR 3 aspect Handlamp with SER reservoir and SR burner. The lamp has the typical flat lens at the front and the reducing cone has the brass plate `SE&CR GN No 2213 affixed. Beside this is a small brass button plate engraved with the letter `A`. The body is stamped `SER` as is the rotating drum. In all a very attractive lamp.
South Eastern & Chatham Railway Telephone with Morse Tapper. In two distinct sections, the top half has a central brass push button beneath which has the following stamped `SE&CR - ET`. The bottom half has a central recessed mouthpiece and a separate earpiece either side housed in cradles. This section is stamped with the same initials as the top section. Beneath the earpieces is a morse tapper. The whole item is large and the first seen by us.
An early 20th Century leather travel case initialled "F M", with fitted interior containing various cut glass silver mounted bottles (by Thomas Jones Watson, London 1907), silver mounted wild boar tusk boot pulls, shoe horn, button hook, various boxes, watch holders, etc., housed in canvas carrying case, together with a brown leather suitcase with contrasting moire silk lining inscribed "To the Royal Family, Drew & Sons, Piccadilly Circus W1" with canvas outer case stamped "Mrs. Lewis Williams". CONDITION REPORTS Travelling case and cover with wear,scuffs, some stains. Contents incomplete and some are associated. Please see photos for examples.
