Joining the Edwards Collection in 2004 this delightful R is one of just 544 right-hand drive cars and finished in classic colours. This Collection is offered by the family of the late J. Anthony Edwards whose passion for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars spanned decades. With business success in his thirties, Tony as he was universally known, bought a Bentley S1 that started his enthusiasm that led to owning virtually every subsequent model of Rolls and Bentley since. Tony even passed his advanced driving test in a 1996 Bentley Brooklands at the age of 75! At the age of 80 his passion was still undiminished when he exchanged a Phantom Coupé for a new Wraith. The cars that Tony loved to drive remained in the collection, some retained by the family, and these four cars are a testament to his diligent maintenance, each on the button, for the next custodian to enjoy as he did.Although launched at the Geneva Salon of 1991, many elements of the John Heffernan/Ken Greenley-penned Continental R had been seen at the same event as far back as 1984, when Bentley unveiled their `Project 90' concept car; a suitably enthusiastic reception leading the company to develop the car for production. Clearly, the Sultan of Brunei approved of the end result, as he bought the 1991 show car at the exhibition. The new car was based on the Turbo R floor pan and powered by that model's 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 engine, which was believed (Crewe never quoted horsepower figures back then) to produce in the region of 325bhp fed through the, then new, four-speed GM 4L80-E transmission.Whatever the power output, it was sufficient to give a top speed of some 150mph and a 0-60mph acceleration time of around 6.6 seconds - no mean feat for a car weighing in at some 2.5 tonnes and the best of any Bentley in its day. Unlike all other Bentleys since the S3 of 1965, its body was unique to the marque and not shared with any model of Rolls-Royce. All Continental Rs were finished and trimmed by Rolls-Royce’s Mulliner Park Ward subsidiary and carried MPW builder’s plates, with the bodies assembled by hand from machine-pressed panels. The Continental R was produced from 1991 to 2003, during which time some 1,292 of these exclusive motor cars found comfortable homes, with just 544 supplied in right-hand drive. The accompanying factory build-sheets for this 1998 Bentley Continental R confirms the delivery in Brooklands Green with single coachline in Sandstone, matching the Sandstone leather interior and Spruce green top-roll. Supplied by Broughtons of Cheltenham, it was registered to the first of just two former keepers on 1st August 1998. One of the few Bentleys in Tony’s collection, it joined its Crewe stablemates on 24th April 2004. Used often but sparingly, and maintained with the usual diligence, the car is presented today with an odometer reading of 46,058 miles at the time of cataloguing. The history file includes the aforementioned factory build-sheets, bookpacks, service book, V5C and previous MOT Certificates, the most recent of which is advisory free and valid until the 24th September 2023.SpecificationMake: BENTLEYModel: CONTINENTALYear: 1998Chassis Number: SCBZB15C0WCH63109Registration Number: S314 YNPTransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: 89477L410M/T1T Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 46055 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Sandstone LeatherClick here for more details and images

One of just 369 right-hand drive Silver Seraphs produced and a member of the Edwards Collection since 2005.This Collection is offered by the family of the late J. The cars that Tony loved to drive remained in the collection, some retained by the family, and these four cars are a testament to his diligent maintenance, each on the button, for the next custodian to enjoy as he did. When the Silver Seraph was launched in 1998, the most significant break with tradition was, of course, the adoption of BMW engines, the Seraph's power unit being the 5.3-litre, 60-degree V12 of the range-topping 750i, its engine management system appropriately reconfigured for the heavier Rolls-Royce. The ZF 5-speed automatic gearbox is likewise sourced from the 750i, and once again its electronics, which control shift points, are re-programmed to suit the different application. Whilst many flag-waving traditionalists were outraged, the buyers did not complain for the new Rolls-Royce offered the same level of build quality but with new, and reliable electronics and progressive power delivery from the silky smooth V12 engine. Bearing a strong resemblance to Bentley’s Arnage, which were mass produced by comparison, the Silver Seraph ceased production in 2002 with just 369 cars built in right-hand drive.Supplied new to the UK on 21st May 2001, the silver paintwork compliments the cream leather and rich Burr Walnut veneers nicely. With some 20,000 miles on the car it was bought by Tony on 24th March 2003 and he enjoyed driving it, as evidenced by the current mileage of 48,425 miles. Presented to auction with service records, V5C and an advisory free MOT valid until 18th October 2023. We conclude that the Silver Seraph remains popular in the collector car market as do all limited production motorcars and it retains the historic link with the Silver Shadow that saved Rolls-Royce back in the 1960s, as a Rolls that is owner-driver focused whilst boasting rear passenger comforts unparalleled by its contemporaries.SpecificationMake: ROLLS ROYCEModel: SILVER SERAPHYear: 2001Chassis Number: SCALA62E41CH06324Registration Number: Y504 GFMTransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: 61132466799963 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 48422 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Cream LeatherClick here for more details and images

With low ownership and in virtually flawless, original condition, this collector-grade 300SL has covered less than 6,000 miles from new. Offered here is a remarkable R107 300SL, supplied new and first registered in August 1988 by Mercedes-Benz Westway Garage in York to a businessman based in Shipley who kept the car for just three months. Another businessman purchased the Mercedes-Benz as a 50th birthday gift for his sister and registered the car in his business name and, between 1988 and 2020, the SL was dry stored in a company warehouse with barely any use until the decision was made to sell the car. The ownership details were transferred from the business to its lady owner before being offered for sale in 2020 so, although the V5C shows three previous keepers, essentially this example has had just two private owners from new with copies of the old logbooks on file including a letter from the business owner corroborating the cars history.Superbly presented in Diamond Blue with navy blue MB-Tex and blue check Karo cloth seats and a matching navy blue mohair hood, this lovely SL had covered a mere 5,600 miles at the time of cataloguing. We are informed that it has been enjoyed primarily in fine weather conditions which may be why it appears to be virtually flawless with bright paintwork retaining a deep gloss, the interior shows barely any signs of wear, and the navy hood doesn't look like it's ever been deployed. The car is described as 'absolutely on-the-button' and was subject to a major service and checked from bumper to bumper by a Mercedes-Benz specialist garage in 2018 at 5,575 miles and, more recently, it was once again fully recommissioned at the local Mercedes-Benz dealer in January 2022 at 5,607 miles. It's accompanied by a history file including the aforementioned registration documents, original book pack with the original service book stamped up-to-date and various other items of paperwork. In summary, this must be one of the best preserved right-hand drive R107 Mercedes-Benz SLs likely to exist and would make an excellent addition to any car collection of landmark classics, perhaps a concours contender or maybe just to show off at car club events. In any case, we hope this stunning example will continue to be well preserved for future Mercedes enthusiasts to appreciate.SpecificationMake: MERCEDES-BENZModel: 300Year: 1988Chassis Number: WDB1070412A090714Registration Number: F844 YWTTransmission: AutomaticDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 5630 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Navy blue MB Tex & clothClick here for more details and images

Lot 715

Fabulous, road/race Series I, faithfully built as a 'Semi-lightweight' with genuine motorsport celebrity provenance.Offered here is a 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Roadster with a fascinating provenance. Selected as a straight, corrosion-free bodyshell, 1E11338 was entrusted to respected XK and E-Type specialist, the late Jeremy Broad, to be converted into semi-lightweight specification ready for competition use. Jeremy Broad’s competition workshop was situated not far from Browns Lane and Broad followed the specification of the two special-order, semi-lightweight cars constructed by Jaguar Works in 1964. Impressed by the success of the 12 full-blown Competition Lightweights built to compete with Ferrari and Aston Martin in International GT competition, two, presumably very persuasive, customers managed to talk the factory into building something very similar for them, a left-hand drive Fixed Head Coupé for a prominent French collector and a Roadster for Sir Robert Ropner (4th Baronet) in County Durham. Interestingly, it's believed that 1E11338 wears the original bonnet from the Ropner car, presumably removed when the car was restored in an age when panel gaps mattered more than originality.Purchased in 1991 by Manx Motor Racing Club Director, Graham Warwick, and registered in the Isle of Man as 1E MN, Chassis 1E11338 was entered into the 1991 Mountain Challenge, a prestigious event organised to commemorate Britain’s greatest road race the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy and the 30th Anniversary of the E-Type, to be piloted by Sir Stirling Moss. Sir Stirling was full of praise for the car, comparing his laps of the TT circuit in the E-Type with his races in earlier years on the Island’s British Empire Trophy course, saying “The car was pretty good, but it needs to be damped down a little, made more taught if we were going to try really hard!  It handled nicely, behaved quite well, and was comfortable”. As a result of Sir Stirling's observations, 1E11338 was then further developed by the legendary Peter Lander of Sigma Engineering in conjunction with marque specialists, Pearson’s Engineering, probably the world’s most famous preparers of C, D and E-Type Jaguars. Graham then went on to win the Manx Classic sports car event outright in this car.A decade after Sir Stirling’s time with 1E11338, the car was invited to Donington Park to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the E-Type, this time to be steered by Le Mans and British/World Touring Car star, Win Percy, who reportedly left his D-Type in order to drive the Semi-lightweight. 1E11338 also appeared nationally and internationally including an outing at Jarama in Spain. The 4.2-litre engine is currently in fast-road tune, with a Sigma head, performance cams and pistons, balanced crank, lightweight flywheel, hi-torque starter, triple Webers, Power-Lock LSD, adjustable shocks, Safety Devices roll-bar, uprated springs, lowered suspension, vented boot, alloy radiator and header tank, internal rear brake access panels, FIA-type foam-filled tank with alloy case and a five-speed gearbox (Jaguar’s later Le Mans E-Type lightweights had 5-speeed boxes in the 60s).This unrepeatable E-Type has recently been subject to a thorough mechanical overhaul and sympathetic restoration work which included fresh paint whilst thoughtfully preserving the original 1991 Manx Mountain Challenge decals. The history file includes a wealth of evidence supporting the fascinating provenance including an entry in the Peter Griffiths book ‘E-Type Factory and Private Competition Cars’. More recently, it has been invited to attend a number of prestigious events including the E-Type's 60th Anniversary celebrations and was chosen by the Schwetzingen Palace International Concours 2021 to feature in a series of paintings by artist Mauricio Franco to publicise the event. Further documentation within the history file includes; FIVA identity card issued in 2019, expired FIA papers issued 1998, signed images and correspondence with Win Percy, 1991 Manx Mountain Challenge official programme, correspondence between Graham Warwick and Jeremy Broad, a copy of Classic Jaguar magazine with a full feature titled ‘Perfect Pedigree’, Invitations to have the E-Type feature at Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance, a copy of 1991 Jaguar drivers magazine with feature, many photos and clippings, race timing paperwork, old registration documents and copies and a wealth of invoices for recent attention. The car is absolutely on the button, performs well and will continue to turn heads outside the pub, at any classic car event or sat in Parc Ferme after a racing event and, despite its provenance and focused appearance, is remarkably well behaved on the road and docile in traffic.SpecificationMake: JAGUARModel: E-TYPEYear: 1965Chassis Number: 1E11338Registration Number: EOL 584CTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 13000 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: RedClick here for more details and images

Lot 675

At the time, the 599 represented the peak of modern Ferrari design, the GTB’s coachwork uniquely combining understatement and aggression. A civilised supercar for the discerning enthusiast. The Ferrari 599 succeeded its predecessor, the 575, in the summer of 2006 and brought the front-engined V12 Grand Tourer into the modern age. Whereas the 550 and 575, even at their introduction, always felt like modern classics, the 599 was every inch a new-age Ferrari. The all-aluminium chassis, F1 SuperFast gearbox, F1-Trac stability and traction control, magnetic semi-active dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes, all wrapped in aggressive, aero-optimised bodywork with minimal overhangs and maximum presence was a mission statement. Top billing, though, went to the engine - a lightly modified version of the Enzo's 6-litre V12 with a mighty 611bhp at 7600rpm, endowing Ferrari's new series-production flagship with truly sensational performance with 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 205mph. Of the 3,500 Ferrari 599 GTB F1 Fiorano produced globally, the United Kingdom’s share, as is the norm with right-hand drive Ferraris, amounted to under 10% of the total production.Offered here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive 599 GTB finished in classic colours with Rosso paint, Nero leather carbon-backed sports seats and black carpets. First registered in October 2007, today the odometer indicates just 30,831 miles at the time of cataloguing. The extensive specification includes ceramic brakes with matching red calipers, Scuderia wing shields, front and rear parking sensors and a set of 20inch 599 GTO alloy wheels to complete the look. This striking Ferrari is presented to auction in exceptional condition, the Rosso paintwork retains a deep gloss and has an even finish across the bodywork and the GTO wheels sparkle with the bright red calipers peeking through the alloy spokes. Inside, the cabin feels clean and fresh showing only minimal wear and all electronic features appear to function correctly. On test the V12 fired into life on-the-button and our vendor informs us that on the road the 599 performs well. The history file contains the original Ferrari book pack with the service book stamped up-to-date, regularly maintained correctly only by Ferrari main agents, and showing the most recent service in November 2021. Also within the file are supporting invoices and old MOT Certificates with the most recent MOT valid until May 2023.Please note - the private number illustrated (V12 GMA) will not form part of the sale, a new V5C will follow upon successful transfer of ownership.SpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: 599Year: 2007Chassis Number: ZFFFD60C000156926Registration Number: V12 GMATransmission: F1Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 30522 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Lot 747

A simply awesome motor car that cost over £350,000 new and joined the Edwards Collection in 2012.This Collection is offered by the family of the late J. The cars that Tony loved to drive remained in the collection, some retained by the family, and these four cars are a testament to his diligent maintenance, each on the button, for the next custodian to enjoy as he did.Produced at a new factory near Goodwood in Sussex, the Phantom revived a great name from Rolls-Royce's past that had always been synonymous with unrestrained luxury. In keeping with the tradition established by previous Phantoms, the newcomer was a very large motor car, outstretching the old Silver Seraph, the last Crewe-built Rolls-Royce, by 18ins. Priced at around £260,000 at time of launch, it was also 40% more expensive. An historic model in the continuing history of the Rolls-Royce marque, the 6.7-litre V12-powered Phantom was the first all-new design to be introduced by the company following its takeover by BMW and saw the Rolls-Royce brand firmly back where it belonged, as the pinnacle of the very best,Whilst the aluminium body structure represented the ultimate in automotive technology, its accoutrements remained entirely traditional in choice of materials, consisting of the finest hide trim, genuine woollen carpets and carefully selected wood veneers. Certain dashboard features recalled those of earlier models, while there was a choice of five-seater 'Lounge' or four-seater ‘Theatre' accommodation. In March 2005, an Extended Wheelbase Phantom was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show and was 9.8inches longer than the standard car. The Phantom EWB was, without a doubt, the new benchmark in terms of luxury and road presence, literally overshadowing the rather dull looking Maybach and making the long wheel-base variants of the S-Class, BMW’s 7-series and Audi A8 look like glorified taxis.First registered on the 5th July 2007, this Phantom EWB was delivered with the two-tone colour scheme that has served big Rolls-Royces well for decades, silver over dark blue. The car was clearly used as intended from new and, by Tony’s purchase in 2012, it car had covered some 70,000 miles, diligently maintained, then as now. A favourite of Tony’s son, the car stayed within the family when he bought it from his father on 2nd April 2014. It's presented to auction with an odometer reading of 97,073 miles, the book pack including the service book, umbrellas neatly stowed in the rear doors, reams of receipts and an advisory free MOT valid until 22nd April 2023.SpecificationMake: ROLLS ROYCEModel: PHANTOMYear: 2007Chassis Number: SCA1L68087UH08027Registration Number: EY07 BVGTransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: 60124061 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 97500 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Cream LeatherClick here for more details and images

A stylish example of Aston's elegant DB7 in a lovely colour combination that has covered just over 18,000 miles.Introduced to an astonished public in 1993, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen if you looked carefully. Arguably, one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the '7' was more approachable than the leviathans that had immediately preceded it. Well received, it attracted new customers worldwide, with the traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body, robust six-cylinder engine and a 'proper' interior. Power was supplied by an all-alloy, double overhead camshaft, supercharged, 24-valve, in-line six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp at 5,750rpm. In the same way that the beautiful little Sixties' Lotus Elan morphed, over the years, into the be-winged Esprit Turbo, the DB7 was the first in the line of modern Astons that have become more dramatic with each new model, however, we feel that the simple purity of line of the DB7 will ultimately define the breed. We are very pleased to be able to offer this lovely DB7 presented in Mendip Blue with a stunning light grey leather interior, that has covered a mere 18,155 miles from new. The current custodian bought the car in March 2020 when he moved to France, however complex French vehicle regulations have meant that it has proved difficult to register over there and consequently he is reluctantly offering the Aston for sale. It will come to our NEC Sale with a fresh MOT and will therefore be immediately ready to use by its next lucky owner. Whilst in his care, the current technical engineer keeper has added some value by way of changing the grille to a super chrome version, stainless steel tail pipes have been added, the front brakes have been upgraded to Brembos and all fluids have been changed including the gearbox oil, engine oil and all relevant filters. The car is supplied with its original book pack and stamped service book and, we understand, is 'on the button'.This elegant Aston could grace any private collection, would make an excellent weekend cruiser or even, a slightly indulgent daily driver.    SpecificationMake: ASTON MARTINModel: DB7Year: 1996Chassis Number: SCFAA1117SK100491Registration Number: N246 BKRTransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: AM1/0200298Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 18155 MilesMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

Multiple show-winning Mark II Cooper S, restored with remarkable attention to detail and classically finished in El Paso Beige with a black vinyl interior.Offered here is a UK-supplied 1968 Mark II Austin Mini Cooper S which has been subject to an extremely well detailed restoration. First registered in June 1968 and finished in the classic period colours of El Paso Beige with an Old English White roof and a black interior, the Mini eventually ended up in the ownership of a family restoration business specialising in Minis. It was basically sound and remained 'matching numbers' which made it a good base for the painstaking, ground-up, fully detailed restoration which was to follow. When it was finished, it was purchased by our vendor in 2014 to become part of his collection and has since been enjoyed at numerous classic car shows, often picking up silverware including winner of 'Best Mini Cooper S' at the 2017 International Mini Meet (IMM). The Cooper has always been correctly dry stored since restoration and transported to most events in an enclosed trailer. It remains numbers matching and has many correct details including wire clips in the engine bay, crimped exhaust and Dunlop SP sport tyres. We understand that this gleaming little Mk II starts on-the-button and performs as well as it looks. It's accompanied by a history file which includes its Heritage Certificate which verifies colours, engine, chassis and commission number along with various other items of older paperwork and the current V5C ready for transfer or export. With restoration costs far exceeding our upper estimate, this is a great opportunity to take ownership of a show-winning Cooper S which appears to be fabulous value for money and hopefully will continue to turn the heads of enthusiasts and concours judges alike.SpecificationMake: AUSTINModel: MINIYear: 1968Chassis Number: CA25B1129633ARegistration Number: PRM 764FTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 1650 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

A low ownership, low mileage Supercharged XKR immaculately presented and correctly maintained - Offered Without Reserve.Offered here is a supercharged Jaguar XKR that was supplied new to the UK and first registered in December 2006. It was thoughtfully specified in Platinum Silver Metallic with an Ivory extended-leather interior, a timeless colour combination that suits the profile of the XKR perfectly. Since delivery in 2006, the Jaguar has had just two previous keepers and the speedometer indicated only 38,414 miles at the time of cataloguing. The condition of this example can only be described as remarkable, and belies the mileage shown on the speedometer. The paintwork gleams across the entire bodywork, the panel gaps are uniform and all trim presents beautifully. The interior shows only minimal wear including the driver’s seat, and the cabin feels clean and fresh. In fact it’s a fabulous place to be. The car has formed part of a private collection for the last five years and has been dry stored correctly in a humidity and temperature-controlled storage facility. The large alloy wheels are immaculate, and the brake calipers also present well, peeping through the alloy spokes. On test, the supercharged V8 fired into life on-the-button, sounding keen and healthy, and on the road the car felt well planted, swift, comfortable and purposeful.Accompanying the Jaguar is a history file that contains the original Jaguar book-pack with a fully-stamped service book showing 13 stamps, all from Jaguar main agents, with paper invoices to support, the most recent being March 2022 at 38,792 miles. The file also contains old MOT Certificates to help corroborate the indicated mileage and the current V5C is ready for transfer or export. The appropriate registration number, M444 XKR, does form part of the sale and will remain on the car.Undoubtedly the best example currently available, presented in classic colours with unquestionable provenance, sensible mileage and relatively low ownership. This is a modern classic Jaguar with design cues from the iconic Jaguar E-Type and fitted with a glorious supercharged power unit – rare to find in such lovely order.SpecificationMake: JAGUARModel: XKRYear: 2006Chassis Number: SAJAC43R179B11485Registration Number: M444 XKRTransmission: AutomaticDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 38414 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: IvoryClick here for more details and images

An impressive collector quality, Mk1 2-litre Transit, LWB, twin-wheel panel van from 1972.  On offer here is a very special example of one of the best selling commercial vehicles in history. Naturally, it's a Ford Transit, specifically a Mk1, LWB, twin-wheel, panel, 'custom' panel van. The vendor informs us that being a 'custom' model, it boasts features such as both left and right-hand side loading doors, up-and-over barn doors, improved seats and wood-effect dashboard trim. The odometer reads 7,071 miles, which could well be correct, and the owner believes it to be, as it was kept in a heated garage for over 40 years during the early part of its life. Once this long-term storage ended, the Transit was then bought by a previous owner, who decided to paint the van inside and out and detailed the engine whilst it was removed for the paint job at the same time. This work was carried out by the, then, owner over a long period of time to ensure that it was done properly. The previous owner mentioned to our vendor that the van has never been welded, which we can't confirm, but given its history that may well be the case. Once the respray job was complete, the Transit was taken to various shows and competitions to show off its originality with a great deal of success.Shortly after this, our vendor bought the Transit to add to his private collection of significant Fords and it's resided in his collection ever since. It's complete with lots of 'period' touches including Air Horns, period wheel trims, a Radiomobile 8-Track player complete with some cartridges, a push button radio, an Operators Manual and an old copy of the Daily Mirror.Excitingly offered at No Reserve, this is a potential 'best-of-breed' contender when you consider its originality and condition and is perhaps an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire a rather special example of what is becoming a highly collectable vehicle.SpecificationMake: FORDModel: MK1Year: 1972Chassis Number: BC05MD54245Registration Number: EVN 137LTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveMake: RHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 768

A genuine garage find, discovered after a decade off the road, now recommissioned with a new MOT - Offered Without Reserve. The Capri 280 was the final, limited edition run of the legendary Ford Coupé which had first appeared back in 1969. Ford originally intended to build only 500 turbo-charged vehicles (by Turbo Technics) complete with gold alloy wheels but a change of production planning meant a name change to Capri 280. These cars featured a limited slip differential, a full leather Recaro interior, and 15-inch, seven-spoke alloy wheels to complement the 2.8 injected V6 engine. Just 1,038 were ever made and all were finished in Brooklands Green, resulting in them, inevitably becoming known as 'Brooklands Capris'.Offered here is a 1987 Ford Capri 280 ‘Brooklands’ that was supplied new to the UK-market in right-hand drive and first registered in August 1987. 35 years later, this 280 was discovered stored away under covers in a building purchased by our vendor, having been off the road for over ten years. The covers were removed, air pumped in the tyres and rolled out of the lock-up where, after a clean, a new battery and some fresh fuel, the 2.8-Litre V6 fired into life sounding in fine tune. The old Capri was then taken to a local specialist workshop for a full service and checked over from bumper to bumper before an  MOT test.At the time of cataloguing the speedometer indicated 97,868 miles which cannot be verified but is believed to be correct. We are informed that on the road, the 280 performs well and still attracts lots of attention and admiring glances. The Brooklands metallic paintwork presents beautifully, and the panel gaps are uniform across the body. In the cabin, the correct leather Recaro seats also present well along with the three-spoke steering wheel, and the carpets are protected with 280-embossed over-mats. The undercarriage also presents very well and appears to have been subject to some restorative works at some point in the past. Within the history file is a current V5C ready for export or transfer, new MOT Certificate valid until September 2023 and various other items of paperwork from over the years. In summary, this is a great opportunity to secure this lovely 280 Brooklands with sensible mileage and absolutely on-the-button, ready to turn heads at any classic car event. This is an example to be driven and enjoyed as often as possible and, offered at No Reserve', could be the best buy of the sale.SpecificationMake: FORDModel: CAPRIYear: 1987Chassis Number: WF0CXXGAECGG11046Registration Number: E280 BCDTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 97844 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black Click here for more details and images

One of just 221 right-hand drive examples of the last "old school" Rolls-Royce, joining the Edwards Collection in 2005.This collection is offered by the family of the late J. The cars that Tony loved to drive remained in the collection, some retained by the family, and these four cars are a testament to his diligent maintenance, each on the button, for the next custodian to enjoy as he did.The Silver Spur is the successor of the Silver Spur III, and inside, the exemplary standards of equipment and finish were not just maintained, but enhanced, the most noticeable change being the adoption of separate rear seats and the reinstatement of folding picnic tables. Due to marketing decisions the Spur didn't get a series IV designation because the suffix IV was found to be inappropriate in respect of some Far Eastern countries where it is a symbol of death. Produced between 1996 and 2000, with a light-pressure turbo charged 6.75ltr engine, just 221 right-hand drive examples left the Crewe factory.Often hailed as the last of the “old school” Rolls-Royces that started with the Silver Shadow of 1965 and aimed at the owner-driver, but with rear passenger refinement unparalleled when compared with contemporary rivals. The accompanying factory build-sheet for this 1997 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur confirms the original specification of Wildberry paintwork, a colour that perfectly complements the Spur’s coachlines, magnolia leather and whitewall tyres, perhaps the last Rolls to bear them from new.Supplied new by Ron Stratton and Co., the Rolls-Royce main dealer for the Greater Manchester area, this Silver Spur was registered to the first of just two former keepers on 4th February 1997. The car had travelled some 41,000 miles by the time Tony decided to add the car to his collection on 8th February 2005. As an enthusiast with multiple cars to choose from, the Silver Spur was used sparingly but often and maintained diligently. Presented to auction with an odometer reading of 54,025 miles together with bookpacks, receipts, and previous MOT Certificates, the most recent of which is valid until 5th October 2023 and advisory free. Please note that the private registration number “39 RR” is not included in the sale.SpecificationMake: ROLLS ROYCEModel: SILVER SPURYear: 1997Chassis Number: SCAZN20C9VCH59728Registration Number: P901 ODATransmission: AutomaticEngine Number: 88156L410M/TIV Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 56000 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Magnolia LeatherClick here for more details and images

A superb, UK-supplied, right-hand drive 550 Maranello finished in classic colours with gleaming Rosso Corsa paintwork, Crema leather seats and Rosso carpets offered from long-term private ownership.Firmly placed in Ferrari's history as one of their finest modern era big GTs, the 550 Maranello's combination of elegant lines and legendary front mounted 12-cylinder engine, meant that these cars had the potential to become instant classics. The 48-valve, 5.5-litre V12 developed 485bhp at 7,000rpm and the 6-speed manual gearbox complements a slightly more even torque curve, ensuring that the power delivery was a little less frenetic, whilst excellent weight distribution and delightful road manners make the 550 Maranello a truly refined driving machine, whilst still capable of almost 200mph. Offered here at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2022 is a superb Ferrari 550 Maranello supplied new by JCT600 Specialist Cars in April 1997 finished in classic colours with Rosso Corsa paintwork, Crema leather interior and matching Rosso carpets. Coming to market from 16-years private ownership and indicating 54,244 miles on the odometer supported by a comprehensive service record.Overall, the 26-year-old Ferrari presents very well, the Rosso Corsa paintwork retains an even finish and deep gloss across the bodywork with uniform panel gaps, the wheels present well and black brake calipers show nicely through the alloy spokes. Inside the cabin space is a factory, special-order Bordeaux leather dashboard that really sets this 550 apart from others and looks fabulous. The leather seats are in good order with minimal wear relative to their age and the limited electronic gadgetry tested appears to function well. Absolutely on-the-button, the 550 fires into life and sounds strong and healthy with no adverse smoke or sounds and we understand that on the road the Ferrari performs well due to its comprehensive maintenance over the years and stops well with well adjusted brakes and  matching premium-brand tyres on all four corners.Accompanying the 550 is a history file with Ferrari book pack including a service book stamped up-to-date with 16 stamps from Ferrari agents or specialists with the most recent entry a belt service in 2019 at 54,202 miles. Also within the file are paper invoices supporting many of the services and other maintenance along with old registration documents, Tracker paperwork, spare key and fobs (including the red one) and a wealth of old MOT Certificates with the most recent valid until August 2023. In the car is the tyre inflation system, Ferrari tool kit and a trickle charger to keep the battery maintained when not in use.In summary, this is a lovely 550 Maranello that has clearly been well maintained and has covered a 'sensible' mileage, meaning that it's a car you can continue to use as intended on long road trips without feeling guilty about racking up the miles. Offered at a sensible guide, this lovely modern-classic Ferrari may well turn out to be one of your better decisions.SpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: 550Year: 1996Chassis Number: ZFFZR49C000108275Registration Number: P261 AWTTransmission: ManualDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 54500 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: CreamClick here for more details and images

Lot 699

Virtually flawless, dramatically presented in Dark Sapphire with Saffron hide, less than 7,000 miles from new and 16 Bentley main agent stamps in the service book.Supplied new by Bentley agents, Broughtons of Surrey and registered in August 2004, this stunning Continental GT Coupé was specified from new in Dark Sapphire with Saffron Hide and Nautic Blue secondary hide enhanced by Nautic Blue carpets, Burr Walnut veneers and 19" 2-piece split-rim alloy wheels at a cost of just over £110,000. The first owner enjoyed the Bentley occasionally keeping the car dry stored correctly and maintained regardless of mileage with Bentley agents until 2018 when our vendor became its next lucky owner. Since being in his care, the Continental has formed part of his private collection, correctly stored in a humidity and temperature-controlled facility, and maintenance has continued at Bentley agents periodically regardless of mileage. The condition of this example can only be described as pristine inside and out with the glorious Sapphire paintwork presenting with a deep gloss across the car's long panels and the glorious Saffron hide showing very little wear. The Bentley fires up on-the-button, sounds healthy and performs as well as you would expect from a car that has been meticulously maintained.Accompanying the car is a history file containing the original Bentley book-pack with service book showing 16 main agent service stamps supported by paper invoices. Also, within the file are historic MOT Certificates corroborating the low indicated mileage of 6,829 (at the time of cataloguing), letters of correspondence between the original owner and Bentley, order forms and various other related paperwork. A spare key is present along with the current V5C ready for export or transfer. In summary, this is a simply splendid Bentley Continental GT Coupé in showroom condition that has been enjoyed occasionally, well maintained and stored correctly. An attractive, powerful yet understated modern classic GT that would be welcome anywhere.SpecificationMake: BENTLEYModel: CONTINENTALYear: 2004Chassis Number: SCBCE63W84C023549Registration Number: RO04 WEXTransmission: AutomaticDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 6829 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: SaffronClick here for more details and images
