A group of three early 20th Century silver hallmarked button hooks. Each one having a silver embossed floral and swirl decorative handles with steel hooks. Two hallmarked for Birmingham and one for Chester, two having makers mark for Adie & Lovekin Ltd and the other for William Vale & Sons. Together with one other button hook marked for Adie & Lovekin Ltd. Gross weight 105g. Biggest measures 17cm long.

A small group of silver items to include a leather cased silver plated thimble, silver cigarette case of bowed rectangular form with push button clasp and gilt interior, hallmarks for Birmingham date letter r 1916, makers mark for Deakin & Francis Ltd. Weighs 80.2. Measures 9cm deep by 7.5cm wide. Together with a early 20th Century silver brush and hand held mirror having embossed foliate decoration, hallmarks for Chester date letter B 1902 and date letter C 1903.

A 19th century French lady's gilt-metal rounded rectangular travelling etui, the domed hinged cover enclosing a fitted arrangement of bottles, a button hook and further sewing instruments, the whole case cast and chased with bands of flowering leafy stems within zigzag borders, 7cm wide, c. 1830
A good George III Bilston enamel tapered rounded rectangular etui, painted with figures in Picturesque landscapes to recto and verso, within raised and gilded C-scroll and rocaille reserves, on a pastel pink ground, the hinged cover conforming, push-button mechanism enclosing a partially-fitted interior, gilt-metal mounts, 10.5cm high, c. 1770
A good George III Bilston enamel tapered rounded rectangular etui, in high relief and painted with a still life of ripe apples, pears, grapes and plums surmounted by an exotic pheasant on a ledge, within a C-scroll and diaper cartouche reserve, to verso with further fruit, the hinged cover with blue pansies, a single tulip and a pink rose, the push-button mechanism enclosing an interior fitted with sewing accoutrements and drawing instruments, gilt diaper and white ground, gilt-metal mounts chased in the Rococo taste, 11cm high, c. 1770
Two c1900 sewing cases, one blue velvet lined with a quantity of Redditch sewing needles and a quantity of manicure items with bone handles, the other bone-set with various sewing aids to include needle case, pen holder, button hook, a pair of embroidery scissors in the form of a stalk and a silver thimble (2).
A Chinese blue silk jacket, 19th century and later, with hand embroidered cloud collar and sides with embroidered cuffs, the button clasps formed as double Shou and with a further panel of hand embroidered pieces with typed letter denoting that the remains of a set of collar and border pieces embroidered in the famous Peking stitch circa 1880, the pieces were applied to a jacket in the 20th century, arm to shoulder 52 cm, neck to base 66 cm, width across bottom 63 cm (see illustration).
A 19th century violin by Thomson Aberdeen, with one piece back. Length 14 1/8", cased and with two bows. CONDITION REPORT: The bottom scroll of the left-hand F scroll has been re-stuck at the very tip and directly below this there is a very fine 4 cm crack. There is a very fine split down the centre of the face but I believe this to be a joint shrink. The right-hand F scroll has two small cracks approx 3 cm in length on the very top of the bottom scroll. The one piece back appears to be free from any damage. There is a small piece of the edging missing approx 3 cm in length where the tail piece gut joins the button beneath. There are what appear to be shrinkage cracks on both sides where the neck joins the body. The tuning pegs have mother of pearl roundels framed by ebony. There are minor nicks to the body commensurate with age. Nothing untoward in our opinion and nothing beyond repair.
The Bijouterie Cabinet - A small collection of silver and white metal items, to include a mini-magnifier, miniature trophy, silver and niello decorated bracelet, brooch and pendant, cigar piercer, scissors, miniature button hook, propelling pencil and wax seal. CONDITION REPORT: One very fine silver necklace has knotted with another otherwise the remainder of the jewellery is in good order with no obvious faults. There is a small wax seal within this lot that has small edge chips.
A Georgian style tan leather wing armchair, 20th century, with button back with shaped sides and applied brass stud decoration, all upon square legs united by a plain stretcher. 78 cm wide, 111 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The chair is structurally very sound. There are no repairs, splits or cracks to any of the exposed woodwork. The upholstery is generally a little dirty and there is some rubbing around the extremities of both arms. The seat cushion has lost some of the conolised finish particularly to the front piping and in the creases. There are however no holes. The sides of the chair are in good order. The back again has no holes but does have some marks and slight indentations to the leatherwork. The height to the top of the seat cushion is approximately 48 cm.
A 19th century Lachenal and Co 31 button accordion, with fretwork ends and with applied paper label for Lachenal & Co manufacturers London and verso with serial No. 178561. The hand rest impressed English make, steel reeds. All within original plush lined fitted box with label and ivorine plaque for Douglas & Co, 7 South Street, London (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bellows all appear to be in good order with no signs of any holes or tears. There is varnish wear around the hand grips. There is a small patch of varnish wear on the point directly above the hand grips. The fretwork on both sides appears to be intact with no signs of any cracks. It bears the original label. The side with 16 buttons has a small fingernail size patch of veneer missing to the right of the central buttons but it is not a break. Overall in good playable condition. The box interior is plush and clean, the lid retains the original label. The exterior handle to the case is missing. There is the odd knock on the edge of the case but nothing again that is too detrimental and more commensurate with age, wear and tear. The lock and lock plate are missing from the lid and the main body. The outer case retains its ivorine label.
