A 1949 Land Rover Series I 80 inch with a canvas tilt, registration number OTW 763, chassis number R8666445, bronze green. Little did Maurice Wilks, Rover's chief designer, know in 1947 when he came up with a plan to design a lightweight all terrain four wheel drive vehicle, inspired by the Willys Jeep, would he create a vehicle which would become an icon. This early lights behind grill example, from the second year of production, is finished in bronze green with a full canvas tilt and recently re-trimmed green vinyl seats. The Landy has been used on a small private estate since 2003 and has been maintained as necessary. The history file contains numerous receipts including repairs to the bulkhead, ***an engine repair (not an engine change)*** as well as general maintenance. Now only for sale due to an impending move, the Land Rover has a lovely used patina and is on the button ready for work. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustrations

A Set of Six Enamel Buttons, cased by Liberty & Co, each planished and enamelled in tones of blue and purple, 5mm in diameter, in a fitted case labelled Liberty & Co., Regent Street, London One of the buttons is deficient of the button loop, otherwise in good condition. The buttons are not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as silver. Gross weight 9.6 grams. Condition Report made 9th January 2017.

An Early 20th Century Mohair Steiff Elephant, with jointed arms and legs, bearing a plain button for 1904/5, boot button eyes, black stitched claws, 41cm long Provenance: bears a hand written stitched label to the reverse 'Jim Ingilby', a relation of the Ingilbys of Ripley CastleBoth tusks repaired and damaged, badly patched. Neck, both arm sockets, central seam and tail re-stitched. Missing stuffing in several areas. Large areas of plush missing. Bears a ring to his nose. Please see images.
