Lot 70

Three vintage 1940's dresses to include: a dark red crepe dress with short sleeves and flower detail on chest and a matching jacket also with floral decorations (cut outs on net background), a black crepe belted long sleeve dress with pink embroidered collar and black embroidery, bow and button detail down the front and a floral print crepe long sleeve dress with buttons down the front (actually fastens by popper which are behind the buttons but do look original). (3) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: All dresses are hand made and in good condition for the age. The floral dress originally had a belt. Red dress up by metal zip, black dress is slip on. Lining fabric at the collar of the red dress does cover part of the net detail. Black dress has some wear and small holes under the right armpit and some staining to the top of the collar.

Two vintage dresses, one is a pale blue 1940's linen button up sleeveless dress by Tudor with a matching broderie anglais short sleeve bolero, together with a blue velvet 50's dress with 3/4 length sleeves by Kowpy boutique. (2 dresses, 3 items) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Linen dress - minor staining around the collar, probably originally had a belt, generally in good condition for the age. Bolero - one very small stain on the bolero but otherwise no obvious damage seen. Velvet dress - Seam at waist is slightly coming apart and small tear to seam at bottom of dress.

Three vintage 50's/60's day dresses to include; a green abstract cotton print wiggle dress with wide lapel and button detailing at the front, brown and green spotty print dress by Jacqmar with Forever young by Marie Moore label with 3/4 length sleeves and a sleeveless red dress with bow detail at shoulder and hip with Miss Peg Palmer label. (3) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Red and spotty dress would originally have had belts. Red dress apart from that in good condition with no obvious damage. Green and brown dress - one button slightly loose and seam has come loose on right hand pocket flap. Green print dress is missing a button but otherwise good.

Wooden, checkered butt. Iron trigger-guard. The barrels with rust areas, original finishing at 40%. length 22 cm.

Iron hilt of typical shape, with raisers, engraved and chiselled with flowers, guard decorated with central slot. Grip is partially covered with metallic wire binding. Fine, fretwork pommel with pierced frames along the border. Rear plate with carvings that take up the frames. Long button with articulated and pierced pendant. Wooden scabbard with antique covering in black leather. Iron mounts, two lugs. Chape covered with bindings taking over the same decoration of the grip. length 102 cm.

Scabbard and quillon marked with '4'. length 67,5 cm.

Brass hilt, quillon with plate that takes over the winged skull decoration on the blade, the back with a button for scabbard's release. Black grip with longitudinal grooves, cap with eagle's head.
