Jacket label has cut in it. One button is detached but we have it. Skirt hem needs re-stitching at one panel (minor) and has small 1cm brown stain to rear seat area.

A Biba tapestry weave jersey grey coat and hat, circa 1973-75, printed satin art-nouveau label, the swing-style coat with concealed button front and two pockets, chest approx 87cm, 34in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition. Pocket linings are odd shape. Faint light brown stain to centre back hem and a couple at cuffs, minor and hard to see.
A Chanel black cotton velvet bodice, early 1930s, narrow brown on ivory woven label, wrap-over with asymmetric button closure, the sleeves slit and twisted into bows, bust approx 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Neckline has been altered, the seams are all nicely hand-locked apart from each side of the neck and rear neck edges - perhaps there were lapels originally? The silk inner edgings stop at this point also which also indicates an alteration. Front buttons are probably replacements. Has been re-stitched at centre back of collar, minor. Velvet is a bit dusty, soiling to interior neck edge. Two small spots/marks to velvet at front left bodice (minor). Stitched repair to corner of waist tie (minor). Rubbing to velvet at buttonholes. 4cm velvet tab added to extend waist tie. Top left shoulder seam needs re-stitching 1cm (minor). I think the button at the waist may be original.
A Chanel couture black mohair coat, circa 1963, narrow woven brown on tan label, no 19495, A-line, double breasted the fabric covered buttons applied with gilt 'nugget' squares, bust 92cm, 36in CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, very fresh, one replacement button although not noticeable when worn as concealed under collar. Deodorant marks to silk lining at underarms, would benefit from dry cleaning.
A young man's printed tiger-striped silk and cotton tailcoat, circa 1790-1800, with high fold-over collar, slim cut-away front panels, large striped silk embroidered buttons, tiger-flecked print, self lined and with linen to back panel and sleeves, chest 86cm, 34in CONDITION REPORT: Fair-poor condition. Has splits/fraying to silk, especially at cuffs/shoulders, underarms and collar edge. Lacking one button at left cuff. Buttons are great. 5 front closure buttons with slight wear. Wool patches added to underarm lining. Good conservation project or study piece, fabric is really interesting.
A pair of finely embroidered satin waistcoat panels, circa 1790, finely worked in satin-stitch with a 'nature diary' of assorted wild flower sprigs and insects, the buttons and neck edged variously worked with letters of the alphabet, 69cm, 27in high (2) CONDITION REPORT: The rear of the waist coat has been removed. 5th button up from the bottom has wear. Generally the colours are wonderful, the embroidery is superb quality. It's a shame it was unpicked
Two pairs of gentlemen's ankle boots on wooden lasts, 1900-1910, one with brogue-like decoration, laces and suede uppers; the others with button fastened with dark grey suede upper sections, 29cm, 11 1/2in long (4) CONDITION REPORT: ·Black and grey - creaselines in leather across toe area and sides from being used; grey suede areas slightly damp speckled·Black wool and leather - wool has faded to dark grey, two top buttons on right boot have been moved, soiling to leather on left side, leather would have had a high gloss finish now is matt over the toe areas
Two striped calico bustle petticoats, 1870s, another in black challis; and a white starched muslin ruffled 'tail' (4) CONDITION REPORT: ·'Emilia' model - good-fair condition, woven grey and black cotton, wear at waistband where drawstring is covered. Waistband has been cut/shortened. Rust marks to X struts at inside hem.·Black challis - overall fair condition. Top metal strut has poked through and a 3cm split in fabric above it and 2cm hole to the sides. The front panels have been narrowed by adding loosely tacked darts (easily unpicked). Corrosion to metal waist hook. Inner cotton closure panel with eyelets - numerous tears and repairs (looks as though it has been heavily used). Centre front challis waist closure - lacking a button and darned repairs, 3 small holes. Rear challis bustle cover with numerous small holes and a couple 2-3cm holes. ·Printed striped cotton with double bustle - overall good condition. Corroded metal waist clip. Striped cotton is generally good, the odd faint yellow discolouration. Inner plain cotton closure panels - one side needs re-stitching along its length (minor), faint yellow stain to this panel at seat area, lacking button at centre front waist, fabric in waistband has pulled/worn at drawstring exits. Rust spot on one boning cover (minor). White muslin lobster-tail - generally good condition, a few scattered rust marks

CONDITION REPORT: Overview: Navy wool coat and hat are badly moth damaged. Taffeta bodice is soiled. They are good study documents. Blouse has pinholes centre front from brooch pin, darned repair at base of rear closure, wear to 4 of the loops, lacking 1 button.

CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, apart from printed text at back being faded. Button holes to neck- may have been a collar attached.

Lace is good with occasional small holes, needs re-stitching at waistline in a couple of places. Ecru chiffon lining needs replacing. Pegnoir: generally good, a bit grimey, needs washing, ribbons trimming have perished but easily replaced, lacking top button, darned repairs inside rear waist which are not visible on outside due to back box pleat.

Lavender jacket is grubby and would benefit from cleaning. Has small soil mark to front near buttons and at right pocket. A few pulled threads to wool. Second button hole down has been hand-stitched around edges.

Lining has several splits/un-stitched in places, in need of repair/replacing. Top button is bent out of shape. Otherwise good.

A young man's navy facecloth tailcoat, early 19th century, with velvet notched collar, cast gilt buttons by Firmin & Sons, interior pocket to left tail and with quilted interior padding to the underarms, chest 92cm, 36in CONDITION REPORT: 1cm hole to lower left front where button is lacking and a smaller one below, also lacking button (but client has it has promised to post to us). Missing 2 buttons from each cuff. Interior padding is frayed/shredding. Velvet is worn/soiled along rear edge of collar. Small scattering of moth holes to left upper chest/shoulder area. Front right panel generally good, a few pinhead holes. Top of right sleeve with moth holes, pinhead holes lower sleeve, cuff area. Cuffs have been lined in rayon. Lacking gilt button from rear waist. Back of coat generally good - the odd pinhead hole and a small repaired split centre back waist area. 5cm cut in rear left tail hem. 2 pieces of fabric cut from inside of rear tails. Padded, quilted silk underarm areas - silk has perished. Later added rayon sleeve linings (easily removed).
A gentleman's pink and blue striped silk tailcoat, 1790-1800, with tall standing collar, chest 102cm, 40in; together with a pair of ivory satin fall front breeches c.1800, waist 86cm, 34in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Tailcoat is poor condition - faded, braided decoration is mostly worn away, lacking buttons, lining is shattering, silk collar has perished, good as a study document. Breeches - satin is soiled and scuffed generally, lacking some original buttons - 3 from front closure, 7 later added buttons, original satin button have frayed edges. 1 x 2cm stain top of left leg.

Cater & Co, Pall Mall, London, with green wool facings and gold frogging, chest 92cm, 36in; together with a boy's 18th century style page boy's outfit, by J Gooch, London, comprising: red wool frock coat, ivory damask waistcoat, black wool breeches and lace trimmed shirt (qty) CONDITION REPORT: ·Smoking jacket: Slight moth damage to centre back and surface moth damage to front left skirt, waist and right chest (minor). Slight tarnishing to frogging. Intrior - quilted right underarm area has been re-covered in modern fabric, scattering of small moth holes generally, a piece of fabric has been cut from inside the right tail. Exterior appearance is generally good.·Page boy outfit: cut steel button on black satin breeches have corroded in places, otherwise good. Scarlet tunic has lots of moth damage generally, mainly in the surface pile. Soil mark to cuff.

A double-sided badge complete with original leather strap for attaching to the lapel or a coat button. In good, ex-use condition with some edge-wear and staining. Fitted with electric lights front and back, button back upholstered leather child's seat, within a brass frame, dummy fuel gauge and speedometer with working brake and accelerator, curved brass fenders with wicker picnic basket, (127 x 80 x 61cm).

Tails having eight flaming bomb buttons and four yellow flaming bomb patches. Coat in very good condition with large black stain on inside of tails and several moth holes.

Each button with British crown and anchor. Gold shoulder boards embossed with small stars. Each sleeve is white wool with gold bullion lace. One with three buttons and the other has two. Two white wool faux pockets on front. Back having gold bullion lace with two naval brass buttons. White full lining. Coat in very good condition showing little use. Shows dirt stains throughout. Needs a good cleaning to display beautifully.
Comprised of: 1 & 2) Two pair of British Diplomat or Officer’s trousers that are dark blue superfine with figured metallic silver lace stripes, both are boot cut and one having a button fly. 3) British officer's dark blue or black, bootcut overalls of woolen webbing. 4) Grey gabardine riding breeches with gold soutache and welt in outseam and a broad scarlet stripe on each side. 5) Grey wool twill breeches with crimson welt on outseams, fall front and stamped on the waist band with a "G" inside a red shield and also stamped in red, "VAUD/8". 6) Leather broad fall breeches with hook and eye closures at knee bands. 11 domed brass buttons spaced at regular intervals down outseam. (probably theatrical)

Dark blue body faced with scarlet on collar and crimson on pointed Polish cuffs and half turnbacks of skirt. Plastron front, blue on one face, scarlet on reverse. Cotton upper body lining, heavily padded with leather waist support. Associated white worsted epaulette on right shoulder. White metal half ball buttons. On breast, one brass replacement button. Two small replacement half ball buttons on each cuff of brass. Heavy mothing on coat body throughout. Right cuff has heavy fraying and loss. 2) British Officer's Mess Jacket. 20th Century. Scarlet satin shaw collar, white shoulder strap with two pips on each. Pointed cuffs. Heavy mothing overall.
Comprised of: 1) Russian cherkesska with bullion trim cuffs and edging. Two pockets with bullion trim, wire and eight silver ball buttons and half lining. Each pocket has seven loops for wooden tubes for ornamental bullets. Good condition with some wear to cuffs and material separation. 2) Russian cherkesska with white bullion trim, turned up green cuffs, half lining and 36 loops to hold wooden tubes, in very good condition. 3) Russian tunic shirt with 4 buttons, red shoulder boards, number 190 and one button each, in excellent condition.
