The outer horn case with its silver pin work is in wonderful condition with just a few minor barely noticeable cracks to the horn. All hinges, clasp and the button are strong with the case closing tightly. The secondary Sterling silver case is also in excellent condition with virtually no signs of wear and without any damage as are the outer case, the hinges, clasp and button are strong and closing tightly. The inner case is hallmarked and dates the watch for London 1789, also the Sovereigns Head is present indicating that duty was paid. The case makers initials I.R. are also clearly stamped. The original white enamel dial signed by the makers has black Roman numerals with Arabic five minute markers to the outer ring, blued steel, beetle and poker hands.
