1976 Rover 3.5 V8. Registration number MDK 582R. First Registered 01-10-1976. Petrol - Rare automatic Rover 3.5 V8 car, fantastic example - Full restoration history file - Mileage 85,753 Subject to a comprehensive, professional restoration in 2002 at a cost of over £40,000. The work was carried out by James Watt Automotive based in Staffordshire and took over two years to complete. Invoices and correspondence are on file along with photos of the restoration which included a complete strip and rebuild, bare metal paint job, complete new leather interior and Wilton carpets, alcantara headlining, full engine rebuild to fast road spec & converted to run on unleaded fuel, new brakes, transmission and drivetrain rebuilt, stainless steel exhaust, all suspension and steering rebuilt and powder coated, all brightwork re-chromed, new wiring loom amongst much much more to result in a simply outstanding car. The underside of the car is in great condition, they left no stone unturned during this restoration and no expense was spared. The car has seen little use in recent years but has just had a thorough inspection and received a new starter motor. She now starts on the button and runs very well. Offered with MOT until June 2023, original books, owners manual etc are all present along with photos of the car in its original colour which was brown. This must be one of the best examples available! In 2019 the car was converted to the latest R1234yf Air Conditioning NOTE: the previous R-134a was phased out and R-1234yf refrigerant cited as to be used in all new cars by 2021. The car is fitted with a SONY radio which works. New BorgWarner automatic transmission fitted in 2020 + New Alternator. Ring trigger loading and rotating the firing pin, the shot is fired by a stecher placed on the ring or by pressing a small button on the back of the butt. Wooden grips. Working mechanism. Remains of cleaning, re-sharpening and small exfoliation marks. Two deep stamps with pitting on one side. Iron quillon with quillons curved towards the blade and ending in small lobes, decorated with notches along the back and with outlines before the lobes. Rised side ring. Faceted, iron vat-pommel with molded base and back button. Grip of a later period, covered with metal wire binding and with moor's heads at the edges. length 73 cm.

At the top a spheroid button set on a shaped base with a radial pattern. Complete with its ancient sliding nose-piece with carved and pierced ends and a wing screw with head shaped as a fleur-de-lis. Plume-holder at the rear side. Missing cheek-pieces. Large nape-guard with four blades and festooned decoration. Various rivets.The breast-plate ribbed at the centre, waistplate with border festooned en suite. Decorated with remains of outlines, with neckline and roped and twisted gussets, like the protrusion. Buttons to mount straps and tassets. Back-plate (slightly longer than the breast-plate, of the same age but probably from a different set) with roped rims. Provided with a large removable culet featuring five articulated plates decorated en suite with breast-plate and nape-guard. The lower rope is twisted.Fine, lobster-tailed knee-cops with shortening, festooned blades.The armour unfortunately is provided with only one brassard, with a wide pauldron, elbow-piece and vanbrace, also decorated with festooned borders.Various rows of rivets, sometimes arranged in rosettes on the various elements.In antique patina, untouched condition. Mannequin not included. It is very difficult to find such a coeval ensemble in these conditions. height 1 cm.
