Gentleman's undress cap, mid 18th century. Lavishly embroidered foliate designs on blue silk with panels of openwork, the cap divided into four sections by four bands of openwork meeting to the top of the cap with a blue silk covered button, some deterioration of the silk on the fold of the brim but condition otherwise good. Provenance: The Penrose Estate, Porthleven, Cornwall. Condition report: Very light fading, the interior is only slightly brighter, only one 'nibble' on the fold, the silk is generally in good condition but the silk on the fold is for good reason, more delicate.
Victorian silver pair of wine coasters, by Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II, London, date letter indistinct, the borders with pierced scrolling vine leaves, with central crest engraved button plaques, 17 cm diam. (2) . Both with repairs to rims. One with split to same. Decoration worn. Other small splits and separation. Marks rubbed.

Hinge to back of watch is broken. Button to outer case is missing. Appears to have had heavy wear over the years.
