Asymmetric top good condition. Skirt - button needs sewing on at waist and is lacking a button otherwise good - nice side drape, slightly faded from cleaning.
An Ossie Clark/Celia Birtwell 'Step by Step' print wool ensemble, mid 1970s, labelled and size 12, the shirt with capelet detail to shoulders and pointed collar; and a high waisted maxi-skirt, bust 92cm, 36in, waist 66cm, 26in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition. Two pin-head sized moth holes to back of shirt. Extremely faint perspiration stains at underarms which are not visible to exterior and hard to see. One button to shirt is loose but attached. Brown stain at hem, covered when buttoned and one at right cuff (not immediately noticeable). Print to skirt is very faintly faded (minor).

A John Galliano black gabardine coat/dress, 'Pin-up/Misia Sert' collection, Spring-Summer 1995, burgundy satin Paris label, with Y-shaped pleats which form a peplum at the hips, creating a tapered skirt, double breasted with cord covered buttons and padded shoulders with lingerie-inspired top-stitching, bust approx 97cm, 38in, waist approx 76cm, 30in Galliano's inspiration for this collection included the Paris socialite, hostess and close friend of Coco Chanel - Misia Sert. Models, including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, sauntered down the catwalk past lingerie-strewn clothes rails to pose in front of a vintage 1950s classic car. This dress can be seen being modelled in video footage of the show. CONDITION REPORT: Good condition. Missing one button at hem but another spare button sewn to the inside. The owner has folded and tacked over a pleat of fabric on the inside closure edge which is concealed when the dress is buttoned up. Hem may have been altered as there is a strange seam arrangement in the lining on one side. The gaps between the buttons are 19cm apart from the bottom one which is 9.5cm to the hem. Exterior is fresh and good.

A Mates at Irvine Sellars navy jersey romper suit, late 1960s, labelled, with contrasting red and white edges, two front breast pockets and button front, bust 92cm, 36in, waist 71cm, 28in 'Mates' of Carnaby St. was founded in the late 1960s by Irvine Sellars, who began his career selling gloves in his father's shop on Petticoat Lane. By the time he sold the business in 1981, there were 90 stores across the UK high-streets. Sellars subsequently moved away from retail and into the property business, most notably and recently developing The Shard, London. CONDITION REPORT: Good condition.
An elaborately embroidered gentleman's court coat, French, circa 1860-80, lavishly worked to shape with gold thread ribbons, fleur de lys and blossom, short stand collar, scarlet wool cuffs, lined in scarlet silk faille, with fleur de lys embroidered buttons, medal loops (beckets) to upper chest, chest approx 76-81cm, 30-32in CONDITION REPORT: Embroidered button top is loose on one button, metal threads are tarnished. Lining needs re-stitching upper chest area and is missing from inside collar. Wear to lining at closure edges and top of tail seam. Moth damage to wool generally, mainly small holes, the worst hole is about 3cm long and 0.4cm wide on rear right sleeve, others include 4 small pinhead holes to right sleeve above cuff, 2 pinhead holes left underarm, 2 small holes rear left shoulder area, small pinhead top of left sleeve area. White silk sleeve lining has perished at armholes. Generally, overall good condition
A man's black Melton wool tailcoat, American, late 1840s, with M-notched lapels, slender lower lapels, cord covered buttons, curved and straight seams to back panel, lined in part quilted silk, 97cm, 38in CONDITION REPORT: Slight moth damage. 2 small holes above right front waist area and silk embroidered button here is worn. 2 small moth holes at right centre front waist area also. Couple more at base of left lapel and 2 soil spots. Pinhead hole to rear right shoulder and left rear centre back - all fairly minor. Surface pile has been nibbled in small scattered patches overall but without making holes. Black colour is generally deep and even. 2 nice pockets - each in brown cotton concealed within the tails. Lining is generally good with lovely notched detail to inside back panel below collar and returns of front wool panels. Lining is worn at right underarm and slightly worn at left. Wear to silk lining inside cuffs and slight rubbing to wool on edge of cuffs. Overview: generally good condition with a few small scattered moth holes and slight wear to lining.
An ivory damask satin wedding dress, late 1880s, with corsetted bodice, the skirt with asymmetric pleats, integral bum-roll; together with button-hook, bust 81cm, 32in, waist 56cm, 22in (3) CONDITION REPORT: Perspiration stains at underarms and splits in satin here, skirt has moth damage, primarily to interior hem wool lining and across top front of skirt. Bodice needs re-stitching along seam at left front, approx 7cm, minor. Lace collar/cuffs are slightly discoloured. Fabric generally is good, no apparent alterations.

Slightly faded all over. Embroidery is good. Very faintly faded along sleeve folds, hard to see (minor). Small area of wear to satin at right underarm (minor). Otherwise good. · Skirt has a couple of light brown stains primarily at waistband and pencil writing to one corner of waistband. Overall colour is vibrant and good. Embroidery is good and gilt threads are shiny. · Hat is good.

Few light brown stains, one small area of fraying at left sleeve. Interior lining is good. Sleeve band is soiled along edges, otherwise good. · Skirt is faded, and discoloured with one small frayed hole, floating threads. · Chartreuse: has discolouration, not immediately obvious. Lacking buttons. Small tears to black silk at collar is partially un-stitched at right side. Lining is good with one stitch line where button fastening has been re-attached.

Also perspiration stains along interior edge of neckline/ Tear to lining at right underarm, easily repaired. Lining at back left needs re-stitching along seam approx. 5cm (minor).
