Lot 213

Interesting 2015 Mustang 5.0 V8 GT, just 6,473 miles indicated, with a desirable manual gearbox, and imported and first registered in the UK by TVR Manufacturing Limited. Ford's international ambitions for their new Mustang became obvious when the sixth-generation of the venerable 'Pony' car (internal project code name; S-550) was unveiled simultaneously on 5th December 2013, in Dearborn, Michigan, New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Shanghai, and Sydney. Three engine options were available: a newly developed 2.3-litre EcoBoost with 310bhp, a 3.7-litre 300bhp V6, or the 5.0-litre Coyote 435bhp V8 with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. A new independent rear suspension system was developed specifically for the new model which also became the first factory version designed as a right-hand drive export model to be sold overseas through Ford new car dealerships in right-hand drive markets. This desirable, left-hand drive, manual gearbox, 2015 Mustang 5.0 V8 GT has covered just 6,473 miles to date and was first registered in the UK on 19th June 2015 by TVR Manufacturing Limited. The car is accompanied by its original V5C declaring the first registered owner to be TVR Manufacturing Limited, various items of correspondence and import documents with TVR Manufacturing Limited named, plus a shipping note which names Jack Demmer (Ford, US Michigan) - TVR Manufacturing Limited and listing this car "1 NA 2015 Ford Mustang VIN: 1FA6P8CF6F5321840 (for test and development purpose)".  After a little investigation it appears that after the long established but, at the time, shelved TVR brand had finally been bought back by a group of business minded car enthusiasts keen to revive the once glorious TVR name, they set about designing a car that would not only start a new chapter in the brand's history, but also ensure its longevity to hopefully compete with all the other top supercar manufacturers going forward. With this in mind, and a decent budget, they hired one of the world's greatest race and road-car designers, the legendary Gordon Murray, to assist. A design concept was agreed and a new car penned but, as part of the development of the new car, TVR needed a 'test mule' to develop their ECU settings along with a myriad of other electrical necessities. The engine selected for the new car was the same as in the newly-released Ford Mustang so, a brand new V8-engined Mustang was ordered from Ford, imported to the UK, and allocated to Murray to use for development. LJ15 SXX is that car and one or two unique features, including the emergency power cut red button in the cabin, are still evident. Our vendor has owned the car for 12 months and the V5 shows two former registered keepers including TVR. There is MOT history online back to 2018 with 3,295 miles indicated and the current MOT (no advisories) is valid until August 2025.  Sensibly estimated, this could be an interesting car for any TVR aficionado or maybe you don't care for its TVR past and just fancy a serious bit of kit, with low indicated miles and a desirable manual gearbox. We would recommend that any potential bidders come along to our NEC Classic Motor Show Sale and have look at this fascinating car and accompanying paperwork and make up their own mind.   Specification Make: FORD Model: MUSTANG GT Year: 2015 Chassis Number: 1FA6P8CF6F5321840 Registration Number: LJ15 SXX Transmission: Manual Engine Number: E15211610140493 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 6472 Miles Make: LHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 130

A much coveted example offered from long term ownership having covered just 3,361 miles from new - an exciting opportunity! Of all the BMW 'Z' cars, the 'Zukunft' tag is arguably most fittingly applied to the Z1, a car that even now, 35 years after it first went on sale, looks fresh and modern. The Z1 used a skeletal frame on which the body panels were mounted, making it incredibly stiff, banishing scuttle shake and endowing the car with superb handling. The body panels were made of plastic, mounted on a substructure of hot-dipped galvanised pressed steel and the seams were continuously zinc welded, adding 25% to body stiffness. The side panels and doors were made from General Electric's 'Xenoy' injection-cast thermoplastic, the bonnet and boot lid were glass reinforced plastic and the whole body was painted in a special flexible lacquer.'State of the Art' thinking was evident in every aspect of the car's design. Those magnificent doors were operated by toothed belts which lowered both the window and door at the touch of a button. The Z1 used the innovative 'Z-axle' suspension set-up at the rear and also featured some clever aerodynamics, including creating a high-pressure zone ahead of the wheels to induce downforce whilst the aerofoil-shaped rear silencer helped to decrease turbulence and lift. The engine is one of BMW's finest in the form of the M20 B25 2,494cc straight-six taken from the E30 325i. The Z1 is special in every sense of the word - it's special to look at, to sit in and to drive and importantly, as the years have passed, it has started to become more appreciated and values have started to climb. The Rydale/Rybrook name has been associated as a family business with strong BMW connections from 1972 until 2024 and over the years, the company has continually expanded through various Midlands-based franchise dealerships, including Oldbury, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Shrewsbury, Evesham, Wolverhampton and Warwick. This year, the company was sold and is now owned by the Sytner Group under the chairmanship of American petrolhead, Roger Penske. This BMW Z1 was acquired in the early 2000s by the dealership group as a significant and interesting milestone in the development of BMW. Its innovative design and unique features like the drop down doors, made the rare car an icon of the marque. Today, it has covered just 3,361 miles, remaining mostly on display in dealerships and at BMW-related shows and exhibitions, but always stored indoors and regularly serviced and sent for an annual MOT. Accordingly, the mileage can be warranted as genuine and the car has had only two owners from new (although the V5C has been changed as the company name changed). This is a pristine example of the model, featuring that oh-so-smooth 2.5-litre straight-six coupled to a manual gearbox, that remains one of the ‘ultimate driving machines’ of the era.Specification Make: BMW Model: Z1 Year: 1989 Chassis Number: WBABA91040AL00222 Registration Number: EBZ 1567 Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 60562320 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 3361 Miles Make: Only LHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 168

Originally a Bentley Motors Ltd management car, this elegant Continental T is fresh to market from 25 years of caring ownership. Introduced in June 1996, the Continental T was a short-wheelbase version of the Continental R, some 4" being taken out of the chassis aft of the doors. With 400bhp at its disposal and crouching aggressively on 18" wheels, the low-slung Continental T looked every inch the thoroughbred Bentley sports car, the cockpit with its engine-turned dashboard and engine start button recalling the heroic exploits of classic Bentley racers. The luxuriously appointed Continental T was certainly no slouch, arriving at 60mph in a remarkable 5.8 seconds on its way to a (limited) top speed of 156mph. Equally eye-watering was the price - £220,312 at the time of launch - making the Continental T Bentley's fastest and most expensive model. In total, just 322 examples were built, with only 104 of these built to right-hand drive specifications. On offer here is one of those 104 right-hand drive examples which was first registered on 30th May 1997. It’s finished in Sapphire Blue with a classic Bentley interior in Parchment hide piped in Royal Blue with a Royal Blue top roll and matching carpets piped in Parchment. For the first two months of this car’s life, it wore the well known registration number, 1 Y, as it was retained by Bentley Motors of Crewe and used by senior management until 1999 when it was purchased by the current owner. The car's V5C, however, shows three former keepers as he originally had the car registered to his company and more recently, to him personally.During this period, it’s been serviced by Bentley Birmingham and subsequently by Bentley specialists, RR and B of Bromsgrove and M Hibberd of Langley, with invoices and details in the accompanying history file. The indicated mileage at the time of cataloguing was 48,700 and the MOT is valid until 15th August 2025.The Continental T was among the last and rarest analogue Bentleys and remains highly desirable today. This particular low-mileage example, fresh to market after 25 years of caring ownership, seems to offer incredible value for money and we welcome and encourage your inspection at the NEC.Specification Make: BENTLEY Model: CONTINENTAL T Year: 1997 Chassis Number: SCBZU23C8VCH53400 Registration Number: P21 PLM Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 88140L410M/T1TS Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 48700 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Parchment/ Royal BlueClick here for more details and images

Lot 270

**Please note- The service book was not delivered with the car but will follow post sale**Car #027 of just 50 official UK-market Passion Red examples, covering a whisper over 42,000 miles from new. Launched at the peak of rally mania, Mitsubishi experienced huge success in Lancer Evolution sales, reportedly selling 6,000 Evolution IVs in the first three days of its launch! The 1996 WRC season brought Mitsubishi its first World Rally Championship drivers’ title, with thanks to a blisteringly quick driver named Tommi Makinen. In quick succession, the Lancer Evolution VI came to be and, in the latter-half of 1999, Mitsubishi unleashed a special edition to celebrate its favourite driver’s four consecutive WRC drivers’ titles from 1996-1999; the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 'Tommi Makinen Edition (TME). The Evolution VI was already a technological tour-de-force but the TME came equipped with a more responsive titanium turbocharger, uprated and lowered suspension, quicker steering, an upgraded exhaust, a new ECU, beefed-up transfer case internals, a redesigned front bumper for improved cooling and authentic 17-inch WRC Enkei alloy wheels. The interior featured embossed Recaro seats, a MOMO steering wheel and red stitching. The performance upgrades saw 0-60mph despatched in 4.4 seconds and a maximum top speed of 150mph. Power was rumoured to be north of 300bhp, rather than the 276bhp 'Gentleman’s agreement'.Widely regarded as the finest Lancer to wear the Evolution badge, it was available in five colours, with Passion Red and Canal Blue joining Scotia White, Pyrenean Black and Satellite Silver. Only 250 TMEs (across the five colours) were officially imported into the UK, with 100 examples going to Australia, and the rest sold domestically in the Japanese market. Official figures show that of the UK’s allocation, only 50 examples were in Passion Red. According to Mitsubishi, it was these Passion Red cars that automatically received the renowned racing decals, known as a 'Special Colour Package' (SCP), meaning that these examples were factory-fitted with black door handles (so as to not break the line of the long profile decal). In the world of Mitsubishi aficionados, the consensus is that there were just 212 official factory SCP examples of the TME produced. The car presented here is very special indeed. Not only is it a genuine Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition (CP9A/SNGF2) SCP car (i.e. one of 212), but it is also an official UK-market example, meaning it is the 'holy grail' of TMEs, one of the numbered first 50 Passion Red examples. This means it was officially imported by Mitsubishi-affiliated Ralliart UK; hence it would have been professionally SVA’d and is supplied with UK service books, a calibrated speedometer, an unleaded-spec fuel restrictor, cold-climate battery and alternator, plus it is individually numbered on a plaque in the cabin no. 027. The car has a detailed and good history of main dealer and marque specialists, benefitting from a recent service by Mitsubishi to ensure it remains on-the-button despite minimal usage. The history file, combined with MOT data helps verify the indicated mileage of just 42,078. #27 was purchased by our vendor who transported it across to the dry climate of Portugal where it was enjoyed, as well as being serviced by Faro Mitsubishi in 2020 with works undertaken to clean the underside in July 2023.Hugely collectable and skyrocketing in both value and rarity, these cars are rightly touted as an appreciating modern-classic, with all the ingredients to be a shrewd investment. This is arguably the ultimate iteration of all road-going Mitsubishis. A true opportunity to both own and enjoy, safe in the knowledge that interest and demand continues to grow for these original rally homologation icons, with USA import excitedly looming on the horizon.SpecificationMake: MITSUBISHIModel: LANCER EVOLUTION VI TOMMI MAKINEN EDITIONYear: 2001Chassis Number: CP9A0201198Registration Number: VX51 AAZTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 4G63BD4419Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 42078 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images
