A Group of Six Pieces of 19th Century Box-wood Treen: A turned squat cylindrical box with ring-turned 'button' to the base, the tightly fitting pull-off cover turned with a stepped 'button' finial, 2¼" (5.8 cm) high, 2⅜" (6.2 cm) diameter. A cylindrical box having a tightly fitting pull-off lid decorated with an overlapping concentric engine-turned design around a naturally dark centre, 1⅜" (3.4 cm) deep, 2⅝" (6.6 cm) in diameter. A cylindrical powder jar with turned moulding and raised central mother-of-pearl boss to the screw-off lid, 2½" (6.5 cm) high, 2½" (6.3 cm) diameter. A good Georgian wig stand with a slender baluster stem on a ring-turned domed circular base and with further decorative ring-turning to the upper section supporting a plain mushroom cap, 8⅝ in (22 cm) in height. Two glove powderers, each with ring-turned moulding and screw-off tops with screw-out nozzles, 5¼" (13.4 cm) and 4¾" (12 cm) in height.

An Ox blood leather wing back office swivel chair, button back scrolling arms squab cushion.Provenance - used by the Lord Mayor of London as an office chair. Due to refurbishment of the mansion all furniture was moved to Iron Mongers Lane (1991-1993). The chair was not returned to the Mansion House and was purchased by the vendor who worked for the corporation of London.
