A once good 18th century Turkish miquelet flintlock gun, barrel 42" with some floral engraving at the breech, full length top rib, and signed "A. MORETTA"; the lock partly overlaid with engraved brass; the shortened stock originally inlaid for its entire length with red inlaid MOP plaques, twisted brass wire, and pewter studs, and with two MOP plaques behind the lock bearing re-inlaid inscription (signature?), the butt inlaid with brass roundels, and having button trigger. The lock, barrel and butt basically GC (top of the cock missing, the butt plate damaged, most of the inlay missing from the fore end which is in poor condition.) £100-140
