A medium late 19th C. button known as a "Liverpool" transfer. A long time ago collectors coined the name for these transfer on ceramic buttons set in metal "Liverpool Transfers" because of similar work done in Liverpool England at the time. It is suspected that perhaps they were actually made in France. This medium example is of a nice Dove in flight and is found in great condition. 1 Extra large 21st century Missouri engraved wood button. Here is a fantastic favor button from the Missouri State show in 2023. This example being over 2" is a sew thru wood disk with engraved buildings from around the globe, like the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower and several others. Notice the brass OME (other material embellishment) airplane applied on the surface of the button. This is an extremely well done button and was produced in very limited quantities. A company in England was created by a man named Fritz Lampl who created these designs back then in carious colored glass, many of which have gold or silver luster highlights on them. 1 Large 20th century realistic Plique A Jour enamel butterfly. Here is an incredible artist made button in silver and enamel. Look at the beautiful colors used by the artist and the fine detail in the heavy silver base. It is signed on the back on the left wing at the lower part and is signed Sue B. Perhaps this might have been a one off for the collector the late Jean Young of California. Whatever the case it is a beautiful and magnificent button. This finely detailed button depicts three men along with a 4th on horseback and a young William Tell standing by a tree with an apple on his head, one of the men is shooting a rifle intended to hit the apple on William Tell's head.
