19TH CENTURY CAMPAIGN STYLE ROSEWOOD BOULLE WORK TRAVELLING LADIES VANITY BOX, of rectangular form having foliate inlaid decoration and brass recessed handles, the interior revealing various compartments and accessories including: button hooks, dressing table jars and covers etc. 28.5 x 21.5 x 16.5cm approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Noticeable splits in places, wear and scratches to the outside of the box. Part of the lock is missing. Scratches to the brasswork. Marks and scuffs in general, the interior is incomplete. Some jars don't have covers with them.

Early 20th century Swiss 18ct gold half hunter pocket watch with button wind movement, enamel dial and subsidiary seconds dial in 18ct gold case with original fitted red case, 48mm diameter CONDITION REPORT The watch is currently running although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of its timekeeping. The dust cover is stamped 18K and also dated 13th April 1906. The back of the case has an engraved monogram. Enamel dial is perfect. Minor losses to the blue enamel on the outer case at the front. Wear commensurate with age. The bow/loop is base metal. Total gross weight approximately 82.1 grams
Good quality French repeating alarm carriage clock with Grand Sonnerie/Silence/Petite Sonnerie lever to base, white enamel dial with subsidiary dial in brass case with repeat button, 18cm high, key present CONDITION REPORT General overall condition . Movement is clean and appears to go. Platform escapement possibly replaced. Strike is out of sequence. Lever movement from Grand de Petit Sonnerce does not work easily. Serial No. on backplate 2213. Dial is in good condition, no damage. Gilt metal case slightly worn
WW2 German Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, fine example of the standard pattern naval officers dress dagger. Gilt eagle and swastika top pommel, white celluloid grip with wire binding, gilt cross guard with fouled anchors to the centre and press button to the reverse. Complete with the original gilt scabbard with two hanging rings. Partially double edged blade with etched panels of fouled anchor and foliage. Eickhorn trade mark to the base of the blade. Much of the original finish remains to the blade. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Very good example.
Luftwaffe Russian Front Field Cap, special pattern ski cap issued to the Luftwaffe for service on the Russian front, constructed from sheep skin with sheep wool lining. Leather covered peak. Embroidered Luftwaffe eagle and cockade to the front. Original strap and button fitting to the flaps. Cap shows some wear and has a large stitched repair to the top. Issued to Luftwaffe troops on the Eastern Front to try and help combat the harsh winter conditions.

Wrap round other ranks pattern Victorian helmet plate with battle honours. Leather sweatband with period repair and oilskin lining retaining Hobson & Sons paper label. Good overall condition.

WW1 German Trench Art Memorial, made from a bullet with Imperial crown tunic button mounted to the centre and small brass picture frame to the top with a image of a German in civilian clothing, can only assume this is someone who probably was killed during the war. This actual item was on display at the Tate Britain’s Aftermath exhibition, June 25th – September 24th 2018.
Combat Worn WW2 German Army Other Ranks M-43 Pattern Field Cap, good worn example of the peaked field cap having one piece bevo eagle and cockade. Two button front. The cloth lining to the interior shows heavy service wear and some tears. Exterior of the cap is dirty and worn. A cap which oozes character.
Post 1911 Royal Irish Fusiliers Officers Full Dress Tunic Attributed to Captain F W E Johnson, fine scarlet cloth with black collar and cuffs. The collar mounted with silvered officers coronet collar badges and gilt braid tress decorated with shamrocks. Thick lace and braid to the cuffs. Knotted officers patter shoulder boards with regimental buttons. Front of the tunic with a single regimental tunic button and plain brass lower button. Quilted officers lining to the interior which has inked name “Capt F W E Johnson”. Generally good condition. F W E Johnson appears in the army lists as follows, 2nd Lieutenant 18/4/1900, Lieutenant 1901, Captain 1/2/1910, Temporary Major August 1914, Lt Colonel January 1925 and retired 1929.

Wrap round other ranks pattern Victorian helmet plate with battle honours up to South Africa 1879. Yellow cord / cap lines still present. Leather sweatband and oilskin liner to the interior. Mortar board stamped with WD and 1900. Generally good condition example.

Dagger is housed in deluxe hammered pattern scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade etched with anchor and foliage to both sides. WKC trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall 41 ½ cms.

Imperial German Naval Officers Dirk / Dress Dagger by WKC, fine example of a German WW1 naval officers dagger with Imperial pattern crowned top, ivorine grip, brass cross guard having fouled anchors, reverse side also having press button release catch. Housed in its brass scabbard with roped pattern hanging ring fittings. Reverse of the scabbard is engraved with the name of the original owner, “Oltmanns”. Partial double edged blade, which is etched with sailing ships, crowned anchor and foliage to both sides. WKC knights helmet type trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 33 ½ cms, overall 48 ½ cms.

Couple of small chips to the grip and small dent to the scabbard but otherwise a very nice example.
