Two Royal Crown Derby paperweights: a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and a ladybird (2) CONDITION REPORT: Spaniel - Appears in good general order with no condition issues noted. The gilding appears bright and the painting is as is should be. Dated 2003 with a gold button. Ladybird - has a tiny approx. 2cm scratch (being super critical) the scratch is near the small dot on the right hand side very near the red wing ends and the gilding begins. The rest of the piece appears in good general overall condition and has a silver button underneath.

The owl has a gold button underneath and again appears in good order with no problems noted. The armadillo has a silver button and is in good condition with no problems noted. The Chameleon also has a silver button underneath and again appears to be in good condition with no problems noted. No boxes.
Four Royal Crown Derby paperweights: a pheasant, a mallard, a pig and a larger crested bird (4) CONDITION REPORT: The pig has a gold button and seems to be in good condition with minor gilt rubbing to the snout. There is also some “splashing” of something underneath which seems to clean off very easily. The pheasant has a silver button and appears to be in good overall order, it has very minor gilt rubbing but otherwise in good condition. The mallard has a gold button and again appears to be in good general overall order with no chips, cracks, breakages or restoration noted. The crested bird looks to have a gold button and is also in good general overall condition with no problems noted although there is a little bit of darkening at the foot on the underside where the bird has been placed on a surface. All of these have come from a private collection and therefore are in very good condition with no real problems noted.

Bleuler, London, circa 1800 The tapered case with hinged lid enclosing fitted interior containing an ivory ruler engraved with mathematical scales and a selection of brass compasses and other instruments, the inside of the lid applied with trade label J. BLEULER, No. 27 Ludgate Street, LONDON, the exterior with brass button clasp to front, 17cm (6.75ins) high. A John Bleuler is recorded in Clifton, Gloria Directory of British Scientific Instrument Makers 1550-1851 as apprenticed to Henry Shuttleworth in 1771, he took on the business of the late Thomas Whitford at 27 Ludgate Hill, London in 1791 and worked from that address until 1822.
