A Southerner Derringer Rimfire Pistol, the 6cm octagonal steel barrel engraved K.B.Ellis to the underside and stamped SOUTHERNER to the top flat, the sides and the brass frame engraved with scrolling leaves, with sheath trigger, the barrel swivelling to the left for loading and released by a button to the underside of the frame, with walnut grip scales, the frame numbered 4834 to the underside of the butt, 11.5cm. Action works but is very stiff. Grey patching and pitting to the barrel.
A Second World War RAF Irvin Sheepskin Flying Jacket and Trousers, the jacket of four panel front and back construction, with short fleece collar and longer fleece lining, the cuffs and front with Air Ministry Dot zip fastenings, inset with Air Ministry label Size 7, numbered H539772; the trousers with front pockets, button fly, full length Lightning zip fastening, with Air Ministry label Size 5, numbered H.539779 and named to Hughes with indistinct service number in ink, together with original braces (2). Jacket with minor scuffing, some loss to wool to inner cuffs. Waist belt lacks buckle and is coming unstitched. Right arm cuff zip has lost its leather pull and the leather binding is coming unstitched. Right side of collar is missing a leather strap. Trousers may have replaced zips - not sure, otherwise in good condition

A set of garments for a small boy, probably late 18th century (with later additions), comprising: a cream silk waistcoat with embroidery down the front of each side and on ornamental pocket flaps, hand-worked in silks with flower sprays in pink, blue, green, yellow, cream, and brown, edged with metallic trim, fastened with covered button at the top (one missing below) and 12 small round pierced metal buttons (last two missing), cotton back, chest 62cm (24.5ins), length 47cm (18.5ins), a pair of matching lined cream silk breeches, three metal buttons to bottom of each leg (one on each side matching those on waistcoat), buttons to waist renewed, waist 60cm (23.5ins), length 46cm (18ins), and a later lined bottle green velvet coat, with metallic braid frogging, mandarin collar, ornamental pocket flaps, rear vent, long sleeves utilising earlier wide cream silk cuffs with embroidery matching waistcoat, chest 62cm (24.5ins), sleeves 31cm (12.25ins), length 56cm (22ins), silk to all three garments much perished (but embroidery intact), breeches with some period darns (3)
