Roman Enamelled Fastener and Seal Box Lid Group1st-3rd century AD. A bronze seal-box lid, lozengiform, a smaller lozenge within, two concentric roundels to the centre; the outer lozenge with pale green enamel, the inner with red-brown enamel; to the reverse, remnants of pin and tab for attachment; together with a fastener, the `button` circular, with three concentric roundels within, the outer two enamelled with alternating blue squares and white rectangles, the innermost roundel white; an attached triangular loop to the underside. 10.25 grams total, 30-34 mm (1 1/4").
