1966 Ford F250 6400CC Pick Up Registration: GVU667D Chassis: F25YK808943 Odometer: 13565 Transmission: Manual MOT: Exempt  . Californian import   . Harley Davidson tribute   . Solid chassis and body work   . 4 on the floor manual transmission  . Power steering  . Servo assisted brakes Outside  Finished in gloss orange and matt black as a tribute to Harley Davidson the recent paintwork is in excellent order with no rust or blemishes. The chrome work all looks good as does the oak flooring in the load area which looks as though its never had anything in it. There are some badges missing from the wings and bonnet which the vendor says were stolen when he exhibited the truck at a local show. It has a modern rear step bumper fitted along with tow ball which again looks new. The truck rides on 20 inch alloy wheels with near new General Grabber A/T's all around.  Inside Up front there's a 3 seat vinyl and velour bench seat in maroon with seat belts for all 3 occupants the headlining is also maroon to match.   The exposed metal work of the interior and steering wheel is finished in the same orange as the exterior which along with a period push button stereo isn't as bad as it may sound on paper.  Mechanicals  The 6.4 litre V8 engine runs beautifully breathing through a Holley carb and what looks like recently fitted exhaust tailpipes. Looking under the bonnet its evident there's a few welcome additions including a new filter king fuel pressure regulator, power steering and servo assisted brakes. Driving the truck is quite an experience, the silky V8 engine pulls very well through the "4 on the floor" manual gearbox working seamlessly between ratios with the drum brakes performing surprisingly well when asking for a decrease in speed. The underside of the vehicle is in excellent condition as is usually the case with the Californian imports, if its to be used through the winter on UK roads some form of rust preventive coating would be advisable.  History Other than the V5C we have no other history with the car which was first registered in the UK in 2016 and has had 3 former owners. The vendor informs us that the engine was subject to a service in the summer of 2022.  Our Opinion  What an eye full this expertly finished truck is, if you want to get noticed then this is the one for you. With the desirable manual gearbox coupled to the powerful V8 engine, power steering and servo assisted brakes it would make a great usable truck either for work or pleasure.

Lot 39

1970 MG B Roadster 1798cc convertible Registration: YTJ400J Chassis: GHN5215162G Odometer: 62701 Transmission: Manual with overdrive  MOT: Exempt . Offered on behalf of a deceased estate Outside  This MGB suits the British racing green paintwork with the bodywork and panels nice and straight. It has been subject to a re-paint at some time in its life and over time the paint finish has a tarnished look to it in places along with some micro blistering. These imperfections maybe rectifiable by a professional paint correction process, although we would recommend serious bidders to come and inspect the paintwork before bidding. There is rust bubbling along the seams between the wings and the scuttle panel, the chrome work is generally good with some pitting to areas including the front and rear bumpers, and the aluminium windscreen surround also looks like it needs a good polish up. There is some surface rust on the n/s front wing near where the door meets the wing. The hood is in good condition with rips or tears although it has slightly discoloured from its original black and their is also a tonneau cover which looks in new condition. It sits on Mini light alloy wheels with matching fulda tyres all around that have many more miles left in them.  Inside  The black vinyl seats are in pretty good order as are the carpets and mats, and generally the interior presents pretty well. There is an original push button stereo coupled to some modern Sony speakers. As with all MGB's the cabin feels comfortable with everything falling to hand.  Mechanicals The 1798cc engine fires into life with ease and runs very well breathing through twin SU carbs and although the looks of the twin exhaust tailpipes maybe offensive to some, the sound the sports exhaust system makes is wonderful. It drives well through all 4 gears and stops as its should. The car has an overdrive fitted which we haven't checked is operational. A quick service and this MGB will be ready to hit the road again this Spring.  History  Unfortunately we have no real history with the car other than the V5C and a few owners handbooks, the vendors trustee has mentioned that the car has had some works to the engine to increase performance, but unfortunately we cannot verify this.   Our Opinion  We totally get why MGB's are so popular and this one would be a great buy for someone looking to get their hands dirty whilst carrying out some minor works without having to take on a full on restoration. It could quite happily be used as is while being cosmetically improved along the way, and the sound from that unruly looking exhaust is to die for.
