A fine example of black beaver skin, with black silk rosette, mounted with three loops of gold bullion cord, mounted with a Royal Arms Button. The cap is edged with white ostrich feathers. Black cotton lining to the interior. .... A superb example, of the tailcoat, dark blue melton cloth, emblazoned with gold bullion oak leaf embroidery. To each breast seven rows of floral embroidery, the uppermost flowing around the back of the neck. This pattern of embroidery can be found to the false dark blue faced pocket flaps, and flowing around the edge of each tail. The cuffs and collar are also richly embroidered. The interior with original lining. Bullion remains bright and fresh. ... White Kerseymere Breeches, retaining gilt metal buckles. ... White Stockings. The overall condition is bullion remains bright and fresh. (4 items) Sir Henry John Fanshawe Lord Badeley KCB CBE was born in June 1874. He entered the Parliament Office in 1897 and was Principal Clerk and Taxing Officer at the Judicial Department of the House of Lords from 1919 to 1930. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1920 and became Assistant Clerk of the Parliaments in 1930. In 1934 he was promoted to Clerk of the Parliaments, an office he held until 1949. He was made a Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) in 1935] and elevated to the peerage as Baron Badeley, of Badley in the County of Suffolk, in 1949. After his retirement the Marquis of Salisbury said of him: "He could almost be described as the father of the house, for he had been the guide, philosopher and friend.He retired as Clerk of Parliaments in 1949 and died in 1951.

Oxfordshire Light Infantry Officer's Victorian Patrol Jacket. A scarce example of very fine quality, in blue cloth. Regulation infantry pattern, but with the special regimental feature of a row of narrow black cord, attached to a purl button, at each end of the collar. Four black gimp loops each side, forming eyes and double drops. Austrian knots to sleeves, and backseam ornaments, all in black gimp. Shoulder-straps edged with braid and bearing single embroidered star. Minor moth damage, the four olivettes absent, otherwise GC.
Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Officer's Scarlet Tunic. A good example of the 1880 pattern, scarlet melton cloth with white facings to the collar and cuffs, the collar retaining Regimental pattern button and cord collar badges. The bullion shoulder cords retaining single Bath rank Stars, but show evidence of a rank badge absent. Complete with Regimental buttons and to the interior silk lining. Minor age and service wear GC ... A label to the pocket of the tunic attributes it to Lieutenant Colonel A.E. Sanderson DSO and worn by him until his death in 1932. Lieutenant Colonel Aymor Eden Sanderson was commissioned into the OX & Bucks Light Infantry in 1905. Promoted Captain on the 25th July 1914, which this rank he landed in France during May 1915. He was awarded the DSO (LG 16/9/18) and Mentioned in Despatches on three occasions.
German Third Reich Army Pioneer NCO's cap and tunic Cap, a fine field grey example with black piping to the crown welt and both sides of the dark green cap band. Mounted with aluminium Army Eagle and swastika and national cockade with oak leaves. Complete with leather chinstrap supported by plain black buttons. Pressed black fibre peak and complete with leather sweatband. Retains faint Wurzburg tailor's celluloid diamond. Minor service wear and tiny traces of moth. Superb shape. VGC ... Tunic, a fine Officer quality Oberfeldwebel's four pocket example, lower pockets slanted; turnback cuffs. Aluminium black backed litzen to collar which bears aluminium lace around the top edge, aluminium lace surrounding the black piped shoulder strap that each bear pebbled button with II, two rank stars with 3 in between. Black piped front seam, silvered BeVo eagle and swastika to breast, the other side retaining ribbons for two Armed Forces awards with gilt and silvered eagle emblem. One stitched loop AF. Above the breast eagle, sweeping from shoulder strap to font seam, an aluminium woven Marksmanship lanyard. VGC
German Third Reich Waffen SS field grey tunic. A good clean example of the four pleated pocket, six button fronted army issue tunic. SS Sigrunen collar patch to one side, the other removed; arm with BeVo SS sleeve eagle and aluminium chevron on black. Breast pocket with provision for two awards on central pleat and one other; provision for medal bar. Partial lining stamped in black "H41" and "39 41" over "92" over "67 56" with stamped name on field dressing pocket. Provision for shoulder straps (not present). VGC
French Napoleonic Period Officer's Sword. This example with a single edged 32 inch blade with faint engraved decoration. The hilt with a single bar guard with floral decoration, which terminates with a forward facing lion head. The wooden grip with chequered cut decoration. Housed in brass scabbard with fan decoration which can also be found to the langet. Retaining two loose rings and a frog button. Slight wear GC.
Two Edwardian dresses; an ivory silk wedding/evening two-piece comprising a long flowing skirt with train, embroidered lace panels and exquisite ribbon work, fitted bodice top with ruffle sleeves and neckline, ribbon lace and embroidered net lace panels to either side, an Edwardian pale green day dress, heavily embroidered pink flowers on a pale green satin background with bugle bead trim, lace and pleated panels and a green satin sash, a c1900 silk boned and fitted jacket with peplum and two Edwardian ladies' skirts; one black example with wide panel of lace and one cream example with purple button and velvet trim. CONDITION REPORT Some staining to the green dress and age related wear, back of the silk sash is ripped, some wear to hem, cream dress has small holes to the skirt lace is intact
