GC Plate 8 Note: The sword of Capt John George Rennie, Lt Black Watch, 1886, Capt 1893, served in Sudan (MID), and throughout the Boer War (MID, Queen`s medal, 5 clasps and King`s medal, 2 clasps,), was awarded the DSO in 1901 "In recognition of services during operations in South Africa".
