A mid 20th century brown velvet gentleman's suit by Blades of London, reputedly the former property of Terence Stamp:, single breasted jacket in brown velvet with brown silk edging and trim, double button cuff, matching trousers, with 'Blades, Rupert Lycett Green' label to lining.*Notes- Blades was opened by Rupert Lycett Green in Dover Street, London in 1962 with the philosophy of high quality tailoring, but with a young man's point of view. Blades clients included Cecil Beaton, Mick Jagger and many other high society and famous personalities. Designs by Lycett Green are on display at the V&A and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Terrance Stamp was photographed wearing a similar black velvet suit for an article 'New Plumes in the Peacock's tail' for the Daily Telegraph Magazine in April 1968 which was the first editorial on a series concentrating on men's fashion. The current owner acquired the suit from a family friend who was an acquaintance of Terrance Stamp in the 1960s

A French 'St Etienne' bayonet and scabbard, the blade back inscribed and dated 1869, 70cm CONDITION REPORT: The number on the scabbard is hard to read, there is faint trace of a number on the hilt but not readable. The button on the hilt does not depress. The scabbard is rusted throughout, the blade with some scratches and blemishes. Hilt with general wear and patination.
