A collection of three 19th century boxes, comprising a tortoiseshell marquisette shaped patch box, the lid with pierced silver inlay and small painted plaque, 10.5cm long, an ivory oblong box, the lid with delicate snow scene beneath glass, rose gold rim, push button and hinge, the interior with mirror and red velvet, 9cm long, and a circular ivory patch box, the top carved with flowers and fruit, 6cm diameter. A VICTORIAN WALNUT DAVENPORT DESK having a concealed bank of four drawers to the side and with elevated pull-out tooled-leather desk and having a brass galleried top, 56cms wide Additional information / condition report: in excellent order, some fading but no notable damage except chips to fretwork on pop-up bureau (see additional images). The Davenport has a button inside the right drawer cavity which releases a secret bureau which pops up (please see images). We have searched for a maker’s label and stamp but there does not appear to be one present. Estimate revision £400-800

AN EARLY STEIFF PALE GOLD MOHAIR TEDDY BEAR circa 1910, with boot button eyes and the remains of a horizontally stitched nose, the left ear now lacking the original button, on a jointed body with buff felt pads (now covered with tan cloth), stitched claw detail, and wood-wool stuffing, 29.5cm high. Note: Believed to have been given to its original owner at her birth, on 6th March 1908. A copy of a photograph of this young girl at the age of around two, holding the bear, accompanies the lot.
