John', hallmarked Birmingham 1936, along with another having overall machined wave design with rectangular Art Deco style cartouche engraved 'W', hallmarked Birmingham 1951, together with another having overall machined design with stepped border and blank overlapping double rectangular cartouche, missing button, hallmarked 1940, (A/F), total weight approx. 277g, (3).
3 x Brass trout reels CONDITION REPORTS Smallest reel has wear and scuffs, some denting and mis-shaping and tarnish, medium sized reel has wear, tarnish, scuffs and grip is quite discoloured and has some chips, largest reel is quite shiny but does have wear, scuffs, scratches and some pitting and has some deterioration to the black grip to handle, shiny reel has a button which changes the reel from smooth running to clicking when wound, the other two reels do not appear to click when wound.
A Tele-cue Limited snooker cue, together with a Champion IX handmade extending cue in case CONDITION REPORTS Tele-cue box size 103.5 cm long, cue is two parts, tip section is 95.5 cm excluding the metal screw fitment, and the end section is 50 cm long, overall with some general wear and scuffs. Champion cue has some wear, knocks and scuffs and some small splits to the wood close to the circular button which is inscribed "Champion Hand Made Cue", length of the sections are : smallest black section 14.75 cm, largest black section 60 cm, tip section 109 cm and end section which bears the named button is 36.5 cm, overall with some knocks and chips to edges, some bumps and bruises. All measurements exclude the metal screw fitments.
A blue and buff hunting coat, together with a blue and buff hunting evening tail coat, both bearing Beaufort Hunt brass buttons, a red hunting coat with VWH brass buttons and a black hunting coat with VWH plastic buttons, together with a further red hunting coat CONDITION REPORTS Red VWH coat with quite a lot of wear, some areas of damage and loss. Blue coat has only three cuff buttons and one button to front, overall has quite a lot of wear and stains, some tears and damage.. Tail coat has some general wear and some areas of loss and the lining is extremely torn and deteriorated and with large areas of loss, however the exterior of the coat appears to be in fairly reasonable condition. Black coat has faded to a grey/green colour and has a lot of wear to interior and some dirt and losses, buttons are quite crackled and deteriorated. Red jacket which bears only four cuff buttons (and one of those appears to be associated) is in extremely worn, dirty, stained and mud splattered condition.
A gents riding crop with plaited leather shaft and silver ferrule initialled "FEL from HH 1907", bears button inscribed "Swaine & Adeney" and has thong CONDITION REPORTS Overall with some wear and scuffs, silver mounts with various scratches, dents and wear, some wear to the plaited leather thong and to the leather generally, length of antler grip is approx. 14 cm.
A gents riding crop with leather and plaited string shaft and silver ferrule initialled "GH 1903", bears silver button stamped "Swaine & Adeney" CONDITION REPORTS Handle approx. 14.5 cm in length, there is a small hole, silver ferrule and button is knocked and bashed, leather has several knocks and is peeling and cracked, plaited string shaft is peeling and in some areas the string is breaking, strop is cracked and appears to be original (see photos for more details).
A copper and nickel hunting horn by Swaine & Adeney London Proprietors of Kohler & Son Made in England, together with a further un-named hunting horn, a Swaine & Adeney leather sandwich tin case and a sterling silver mounted button hook, various pins, etc CONDITION REPORTS Swaine & Adeney horn with reeded mouthpiece, solder work yellow and visible, otherwise appears basically sound. Un-named horn with marks particularly where the mouthpiece joins the horn conducive with age and use (as is the Swaine & Adeney). Pins and button hook all in used condition. Leather sandwich box holder basically sound though with signs and marks conducive with age and use throughout, button with signs of turquoise blue corrosion.
