A .303 sidelock ejector rifle, no. 17804, 26-inch barrels with ramp foresight , short raised filed rib with platinum lined leafsight to 300 and mounted with a Zeiss Diavari-Z .125-4x24 telescopic sight, dolls head extension, the frame, characterisic dipped edge locks and top-lever with fine scroll engraving, fences carved with ferns, the lock plates signed by the makers in gold and retaining all of its renewed hardening colour, bolted safety, chequered front trigger, 14-inch well figured stock with pistol grip, engraved cap with trap, chequered buttplate, sling swivel and button, nitro proof, in its brass bound oak and leather case with accessories and test target , 10lb. 4oz. The makers confirm that the rifle was delivered on the 27th August 1913 and that it was the second from last .303 double barreled rifle produced by the company. It was built for the Marquis de Casteja. It was extensively refinished and refurbished by the makers and has remained unused since. It retains all of its renewed finish.
