A silver and pink guilloche enamel part dressing table set and sundry other part dressing table sets Condition Report: 4 piece engine turned dressing set - dent to mirror back, a few other small dents and some wear. Brush bristles are in used condition.Embossed brush, clothes brush and mirror - overall good, slight wear and dents in line with age and usage. Button hook, glove stretchers and comb - damage to sprung mechanism of glove stretchers, otherwise fair.Circular EPNS box - plating worn away.Enamelled set; brush - damage to enamel at join of handle. Mirror has damaged enamel in same place and a small dent to silver at one side. Circular powder jar - overall good. Trinket box - damage to enamel at front of cover, material lining a bit tired.
Late 1930s / early 1940s wedding dress with integral train in cream satin with shaped and gathered bodice, plus 1930s black satin long silk dress with puffy short sleeves and button trim (2) CONDITION REPORT Wedding dress- Small piece of stitching undone (approx 2cm long) on the inner seem of both sleeves. Right sleeve has some dots of staining above the button detailing. Neck line is slightly dirty with some very small stitching holes visible. There is some staining on the front lower skirt and the hem is dirty. Fabric has frayed above and below side zip fastening. Black satin dress- One button missing from front. Small tear/hole on right collar and small pluck on left collar. Stitching coming away on seem of right sleeve near the under arm.
19th century Chinese robe, padded red silk ground with allover embroidered butterflies, front opening, wide sleeves with sleeve bands, yellow silk lining CONDITION REPORT Staining (possibly a colour run) all the way along bottom hem panel. Left and right shoulders have discolouration (as seen in pictures). Minor thread pulls to some of the butterfly antennae, slight wear to colour. All of the fabric loop button fastening are either damaged or missing. The interior fabric has some staining
18th century AD. A gold ring with italic inscription to the inner face, band hollow with 'Not the vallue but my Loue' and maker's mark 'IC' and shield with a pellet. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme with reference KENT-3EF154. 1.10 grams, 21mm overall, 17.72mm internal diameter (approximate size British O 1/2 USA 7 1/4 Europe 15.61 Japan 15) (3/4"). Ex Button collection; found Canterbury, Kent, 2004. Declared under the Treasure Act with reference 2004 T306. Fair condition. Supplied with a copy of the Portable Antiquities Scheme report.
2nd millennium BC. A substantial bronze leaf-shaped spearhead with median rib, flared neck, square-section tang and button finial. Cf. Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006 item 273. 299 grams, 33.5cm (13 1/4"). Fine condition. Property of a London gentleman; formerly in a German collection, Cologne; formed between 1980 and 1990.
5th-8th century AD.A mixed group of bronze items comprising: a small-long brooch fragment with four ring-and-dot motifs to the headplate; a square-headed brooch fragment with billeted headplate, shallow bow; a strap with Style I panel, mask finial; an irregular Style I fragment; a brooch finial, facing mask with lateral loops; a polyhedral pin finial; a wrist-clasp fragment with Style I ornament; a horse-head finial from a cruciform brooch; a waisted panel fragment with three-band Style II decoration; a button brooch with facing mask; a Hiberno-Saxon wolf mount with spiral hip; a Hiberno-Saxon anchor-shaped mount with Insular Style interlace; an ansate brooch; three tongue-shaped strap ends; two parallel-sided strap ends each with a beast-head terminal; a tongue-shaped strap end with beast-head finial, applied silver sheet detailing; two D-section strap ends, each with beast-head finial; a strap end fragment with pelta-shaped panel beneath the attachment holes; a waisted panel with four attachment holes. A group of mixed items including: a gilded bronze ring with faux pearl; a bronze buckle with foliate belt plate; a gilded bronze harness fitting; a gilded bronze spacer bead; a bead with spiral decoration; a bronze buckle strap with impressed floral pattern; a bronze fitting in the form of a scallop shell; a decorative openwork belt plate with chevron pattern to the centre; a bronze oval ring bezel with green glass setting; a bronze palmette-shaped fitting; a bronze flower-shaped button with glass inlay; a bronze lozenge-shaped spacer bead; a bronze oval fitting with cross to the centre; a gilded bronze oval fitting with rose to the centre; a bronze flower-shaped fitting; a gilded bronze strap end with chevron pattern to the body. 59 grams total, 11-47mm (1/4 - 1 3/4"). CHANEL - An exceptional 18ct yellow gold and enamel compact made by French jewellery Goossens for Chanel c1989. Of rounded square form, the body decorated all over in black enamel with gold highlighted borders, with an applied jewelled thistle to the lid, encrusted with diamonds. Plain push button action opens the case to reveal a mirror and powder compartment, engraved 'Exemplaire unique cree pour le M.D.G.A.V Paris Septembre 1989'. In a fitted leather case. Diameter 7.5cm.
Charles Pollock for Knoll, a black leather button upholstered executive armchair with a chromed frame CONDITION REPORT: No height adjuster. Leather with some minor cracking (See additional images). No tears. Some minor discolouration to metalwork base. Date of manufacture unknown- originally designed in the '60s. Knoll label to underside of front rim (illustrated).
