A Gilt Metal Mounted Ivory Jewellery Casket Necessaire, mid 19th century, of lobed oval form, the hinged cover inscribed with a monogram and set with an oval porcelain plaque supported by twin putti within foliate cast borders, the base with a further plaque depicting Cupid, and with mask handles, opening to reveal two lift-out trays, one containing a silver gilt mounted glass scent bottle, pair of scissors, button hook and needle case, and with four six-point stars, 24cm wide Ivory panel to top with five significant splits, the longest 11cm. Three splits to ivory at reverse, the longest 6cm. Significant surface degradation to putti and mask handles. Some wear to gilding throughout. Contents of necessaire incomplete. Scent bottle with sprained hinge. Some wear to gilding throughout and wear to velvet lining. 210213

A 14ct Gold Triple Calendar Chronograph Moonphase Wristwatch, signed Universal, Geneve, Tri-Compax, circa 1947, (calibre 287) 17-jewel lever movement signed Universal Watch Co Geneve and numbered 236940, silvered dial with applied baton markers, outer tachymeter scale, four subsidiary dials for seconds, date combined with moonphase aperture, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, day/month apertures, button in the band to operate chronograph and calendar adjustment pushers, engraved inscription, stamped Universal, convention hallmark 14k 0.585 for 14ct gold and numbered 1069020 52502, 36mm wide, strap with deployant folding clasp stamped 750 23.01.13, Case with light surface scratches, case back with a engraved inscription saying `AOD 1947`, dial with ligh surface scratches in parts, lacquer appears to be slightly missing to the surface between 6 and 7 o`clock position, later added strap and deployant clasp which are not by Universal, calendar pushers are working, chronograph is functioning, movement is clean and in going order.
