"Dieu vous garde" is an old French greeting, and also was used as a "posy", or sweetheart engraving. dating: 20th Century provenance: Indopersia, Slightly curved, single-edged blade made of damask, with umbrella-shaped mark. Hilt with damask decoration and floral inlays. The inside of the hollow hilt houses some small accessories made of damask and with small gold inlays, knife with bone grips. Cap with cover and provided with release button. Wooden scabbard with leather covering. length 35 cm.
dating: 19th Century provenance: Southern Germany, Smoothbore, two-stage, 12 mm cal barrel, octagonal at the first part and with frame at the base, then round, after a ring, and with moulded nozzle; external-wheel lock with heart-shaped lid pierced with leaves, provided with secure-lock, engraved hammer in the shape of a dragon, carved spring, the border decorated with foliage on a dark background. Snap pan cover. Stock completely made of iron, borders decorated en suite with the lock. Spherical pommel that can be opened with a button. Carved trigger guard. Iron ramrod. A beautiful item of high quality and worked as the original items of the 16th century. length 43,5 cm.
dating: 1620 - 1640 provenance: England, Consisting of breast-plate and back.plate, gorget, tassets and morion. The breast-plate is ribbed at the center with a lowered neckline, pointed towards the rib. Neckline and gussets with hemmed edge. Riveted waist-plate, in two pieces. The back-plate with lowered upper edge and fixed on the breast-plate with leather straps and iron buckles held by hooks. Tassets with seven fake plates, fastened with buckles and hooks. Front-and rear-plate gorget with side-button closure and hemmed edge, the rear plate with lowered edge. The morion worked in two hammered pieces (clearly visible traces) with low crest and row of rivets at the base. Brim with hemmed edge and an old repair, lowered edge with a round of rivets. Plume-holder. Iron cheek-pieces with restored coiets, one si detached. Small defects and missing parts. All armor painted black, partly refreshed. Dummy not incuded. A fine and armonious ensemble. height as shown circa 100 cm.
dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Grand Duchy of Tuscany, In black felt with black silk bands, with large engraved and pierced golden decoration, star with silver 'L' monogram at the center, on a red cockade with silver border and button with anchor under crown. White silk sweat-band with signs of use, Moroccan leather to be reattached, label 'V. FERRINI CAPPELLAJO MODISTA FIRENZE in Via Vacchevecchia'. In its original (slightly damaged) wooden box with old, handwritten inscription (not quite legible) 'Chevé Larisé Turin'. Very rare. height 23.5 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Germany, Octagonal, rifled, blued, 9 mm cal barrel signed 'JOH. BAESTLEIN IN SUHL', with gold bands at the edges, iron rear sight and silver front sight. Long, engraved and blued tang. Forward spring lock engraved with a gold and floral bloodhound, another smaller plate at the front decorated with an eagle and a fox. Wooden full stock with checkered palm rest and handle, carved with floral motifs and with iron mounts finely engraved with floral motifs, gilded hunters and animals; the stopper of the wooden patchbox featuring a sculpted mask, the tongue works as an opening button. Working mechanism provided with with set trigger. Iron ramrod. length 102 cm.
dating: about 1870 provenance: England, Short, cylindrical, 5 mm cal. barrel, five-shot cylinder, frame with crowned stamp 'Z'; working mechanism. The revolver is kept inside a rigid, metallic case provided with two compartments, one with an expanding purse and number '401' (small damages), the other is bigger and contains the revolver. Pushing a button on the case, the stopper that blocks the barrel raises and the trigger drops. Lifting a tear-tape, the box can be opened to load and upkeep the revolver. Provided with an extraction ramrod at the inside; the inner valves with remains of silvering. The upper border marked 'FRANKENAU'S PATENT'. See 'Firearms Curiosa' by Lewis Winant (Bonanza Books NY), pages 157 - 162. At page 159 a piece very similar to this one is shown (the case is slightly different), provided with the Frankenau's patent too. Another piece can be found in 'The Revolver 1865 - 1888' di A.W.F. Tylerson (Herbert Jenkins), description at page 209. O. Frankenau obtained the patents for this revolver both in the United States and in the UK in 1877.Another piece of this extremely interesting revolver can be found in Harry Mann's collection. dating: about 1870 provenance: Papal States, Round, rifled, 50/70 cal (Pontifice Remington Rolling Block type) barrel (clean bore, visible rifling) provided with foresight; high tang with foresight, backwards spring lock. A checkered button on the left side of the fore-end to rotate the barrel. Spring extractor allowing to extract the cartridge shot when the barrel is rotated. Iron and brass mounts. Barrels and barrel brackets marked '14'. length 114.5 cm.
dating: about 1880 provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Slightly curved, single-and short-false-edge blade with central fuller, the tang marked 'F. HÖRSTER SOLINGEN', finely engraved with anchor (without crown) and floral motifs. Beautiful hilt in gilded brass, the guard featuring an anchor without crown among scales, folding rear-valve, pommel shaped as a lion's head with button shaped as a stylized crown; wooden hilt covered with fish-skin and metal wire binding. Leather scabbard with engraved, bronze mounts and remains of gilding. Two suspension rings. Rare. length 88 cm.
dating: about 1810 provenance: London, Round, smoothbore, brass barrel, the base with three rings, one made of iron and two made of brass, marked 'J. Bailey London', 'GP' or 'CP' under crown and with mark of the London test bench, bell-mouthed muzzle, with iron ring and front sight which works as a locking mechanism for the released bayonet, and it is mounted above the barrel, slightly shifted to the right, with release button. Lock signed 'J.s Bailey' and provided with secure-lock. Wooden full stock with brass mounts, the tip of the trigger guard worked as an acorn, the butt-plate with spring stopper. Horn-tipped, wooden ramrod and iron cartridge extractor. For James Bailey see 'Der Neue Stöckel', vol. I, page 48. The skilled gunsmith is documented in London from 1790 to 1810. length 73.5 cm.
dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Italy, Blade ribbed at the center and with a central segment with fuller. Remains of antique bluing on the first half of the surface and with small gilded engravings featuring trophies. Tang marked 'F. HORSTER SOINGEN' and 'G. CESATI E Fi. MILANO-ROMA'. Gilded-brass hilt, quillon with forked quillons, curved downwards. Hilt decorated with intertwined bands and with silver-colored Maltese Cross on the front side. Capital-shaped pommel with relieved acanthus leaves. Large, rear button with engraved heraldic shield. length 89 cm.
dating: late 18th Century provenance: France, Single-and false-edged blade, with fuller at the center and then flat. Engraved with a noble coat of arms with the inscription 'CANDIDE' at the first part, two rampant lions with an axe under the crown on the other side, both sides with floral decorations. Silver, 'S'-shaped quillon decorated with rocaille in bas-relief. Ebony hilt with pommel sculpted as a lion's head, long cap and bronze button. Leather scabbard (abrasions) with silver mounts, the cap worked en suite with the quillon. length 39.5 cm.
dating: about 1910 provenance: State of the Vatican City, In gilded thread with blue and gold-colored squares at the center, lined in red Moroccan leather, provided with gilded-metal Papal decorations, one with silver monogram of the Papal Noble Guard (PNG), the other with decussed keys and papal tiara. The button marked 'GN' for Noble Guard at the back. The name 'Castiglioni' (probably of the owner) inside. length circa 122 cm.

Flintlock with remains of signature, probably 'SUTHERLAND', provided with safety, anti-friction and watertight systems. Wooden full stock with brass mounts partially engraved with floral motifs. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. length 81 cm.
dating: 17th Century provenance: Deccan, Solid, counter-curved double-edged blade with a strongly reinforced tip, ribbed at the center, then flat and widened, with barely-visible curls on the sides, two deep grooves with central cannelure and a lily at the base. Areas with rust damages. Iron hilt with wooden (crack) grips featuring iron rivets. Cusped button. length 39.8 cm.
dating: 18th Century provenance: France, Made of bronze with remains of gilding, round heel bands decorated with bands and 'X'-segments in high relief, provided with buckle and engraved button; spherical neck with horizontal grooves, angled and faceted gun-fork, pierced star decorated with stylized lilies.
