A HEUER RALLY MASTER CHRONOMETER SET previously in Paddy Hopkirk`s Mini-Cooper with a three button Monte Carlo 12 hour timer with a matching Master-Time 8 day timepiece, both mounted on a rectangular back plate with three fixing holes (cut back at the forth corner), 4 1/2" wide Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon won the 1964 Monte Carlo Rallyin an Abingdon prepared Mini Cooper, the above lot was removed from one of Paddy Hopkirk`s BMC Mini Coopers during the mid 60`s and presented by him to the owners father
GROUP CAPTAIN DOUGLAS BADER, D.S.O., D.F.C., a R.A.F. button from Douglas Bader`s tunic of the 1940s, donated by Bader for the RAF Celebrities Button Auction 1970, with signed letter of provenance. Sold together with original auction catalogue. Note: Bader was a world famous `legless` fighter ace of the Battle of Britain in 1940 and the button was taken from `a tunic worn by me` thirty years ago (1940)
