Antique Brass Tobacco Dispenser - 18th Century c1780 Antique Brass Tobacco Tavern Dispenser - Honesty Box, the very first Vending Machine. This is operated by placing a penny in the slot. The button was then pushed that released the lock on the tobacco side. The "honesty" system required that the buyer only filled his pipe and not his pockets!

An unusual 19th Century 1874 pattern French Gras Rifle bayonet. Brass hooked pommel with push release button and wooden grip. Muzzle ring and forward facing quillon, marked to the crossguard 90298. The blade having the usual flat spine but curved to the end. The scabbard also split in two at the tip to form a claw. Measures approx 63cm.

The ricasso marked for makers Coppel G.m.b.H with 1940 date to the blade spine and the matching steel scabbard. Measures approx 40cm.
